I agree with KiwiDave , I was thinking about getting another XRC thanks to this crap that I 've seen on here now, I will be giving it a miss. I can only recommend that NOVAJP you should have a good look at what you are saying. Chuckyone ( Charlie) helped me setup my car and did nothing but support the class.

I am not going to get involved in another XRC when all this bullshit and this is what is going around.

I'm still somewhat new here so this might not mean a hill of beans but to be honest mates, some people might need to relax here. I can see being passionate about a point of view but unless any of your lively hoods are at stake here racing these things (sorry to hear that ) then let things be in the name of enjoying the sport.
Oh one last thing. If I had in mind to get another car I certainly would not allow TWO people here who happen to have a dissagement to sway me from not buying one.

That is all,
Cheers

Glen, any 6 volt charger with the right adapter will be okay see your local hobby store and you might pick up one cheap.

The stock 6V battery I received with my XRC is 2000mah. As a rule you should not charge your battery at more than 1/1000 the capacity of the battery. Therefore at most you should charge a 2000mah battery at 2.0 amps, a 1400mah battery at 1.4 amps, etc.

Cheers mate!

Hey there KiwiDave,

I have been following your comments since I posted about the car for sale. Just wanted to let you know at the last race day I found the stock air box to be totally useless this was something I recommended to Charlie from the start to allow it to be changed. I understood charlies comments at the time that he wanted to keep it simple and cheap to race but eventually Keith and Charlie tested other air filters and opened this up.
Just wanted to tell you that Sunday I ran the car after the 1st round I removed the stock airfilter and replaced it with a HARM alloy airbox mount and a microphone sock (you can buy these from Kelletts Hobbies) it did make a noticeable difference in the power. I also ran a OuterWerks Pre-Filter cover I got mine from Extreme toys in Petersham This will really keep your engine clean and free of any dirt on the internals.

I will come out to the next race meeting and if you want any help with the car just ask.

Lastly I would run the Icaro 10's on the rear which are already on the car Then buy a set of Icaro 20's for the front. I ran 30's and although it was OK I think I could have gotten a bit more speed on power out of the corners with less push if i had a set of 20's

Cheers

Rolf
