New race days
Hi all,,
heres a copy of what was decided at the last commity meeting..
Following last night's well attended meeting the following motion (may not be the exact wording) was overwhelmingly passed :
"That the IC and Electric classes will run on the 2nd and 4th Sundays and the Large scale classes will run in the 3rd Sunday."
At this time the starting time will remain at Close of entries at 10am, racing as soon as possible after that. This may be adjusted at a later date once we get a feel for numbers and race time.
I thank all those that attended the meeting and voiced their opinions.
I know this will not please everyone but we will see how it goes.
There will need to be adjustments made for those large scale racers that have paid annual race fees and gold memberships and I will discuss this with David H in the coming weeks.
Also I am sure there will be some discussion about value for membership for large scale racers. What a membership gives you is access to our facility all year round, except for working bee days, for racedays and practice days. Remember you pay extra for running at a raceday anyway.
What it will mean is we will need more helpers to do the jobs required on a raceday. To this end there will be a list of jobs required and people delegated, via the group delegates, to do these. By the way, even if the racedays stayed as they were, I was going to get more racers involved on the organising side of things.
A calendar will now be drawn up and published by Sunday night, the 6th of January.
As a starting point here is January's calendar.
13th Jan IC and Electric 10am start - Round 1
20th Jan Large scale 10am start - Round 1
27th Jan IC and Electric 10am start - Round 2 (there is a PH on the Monday)
Please pass this on to any members that are not on email.
Thanks

Noise restrictions ARE important
To all members,
At last night's meeting is was bought to our attention that the track in Perth has been closed down due to noise. See http://www.warcmcc.org/mambo/index.php for details. It was built in an industrial area which has now been encroached on by housing. This is on top of the new Gold Coast track being closed down recently because of noise. Add to this the restrictions the Lilydale (Melbourne) track run under because of one noise complaint and I think you can see we could have the same problem.
Therefore it is very important we adhere to the club rule of running only between 9am and 7pm. That is, no running of engine outside of these times, even to bench tune them.
It is every members responsibility to ensure this happens and that includes telling non members of the time restrictions and making sure it is enforced.
This will be on the drivers meeting agenda for the next few racedays.
A security fence around the entire track, to be built shortly, will assist in this.
One complaint and who knows what may happen.
Thanks
