We will be having a test & tune day on the second Sunday in January. This day is primarily for the newcomers that bought may have got cars for xmas and need some help setting up. Having said that there is no reason that anyone can't come but be prepared to give the inexperienced a good chance to have a run.

Our season officially starts on the first Sunday of February weather permitting.

I had a race here in 12th on the weekend so I thought I'd revive the thread.

12th is an emerging class there, so if others could get along that would be good. Other classes that ran were Stock TC, Nitro TC and 5th scale.

The current layout is fast and quite open (it has to cater for 5th scale), but still challenging enough for 12th scale with a quick motor in the car.

The Maitland and Edgeworth Clubs have an interclub challenge coming up. Information about it is here: http://www.morcc.com.au/smf/index.ph...;topicseen#new

I had a run there today with a 5.5 in a touring car...

Felt alot better then when i ran stock! Definitely need the extra speed there.

I think it would be good for 80k's down the straight with good gearing. The infield flows well enough to let you gear it tall too.

Yeah, the quickest thing I could find in my box was a 17T, I ended up gearing for a rollout more than 10 mm more than what I had with the Stock motor at Warner's Bay.

I liked the infield, especially the double apex left hander before the hairpin right.

Is the track permanent or do you have to build each time you race?

it is a permanent track, but the stand is on a trailer, and barriers need to be assembled each meet,

The lines are painted permanently. They place pipes and barricades, and drive in the drivers' stand for each meeting. They also blow, sweep and vacuum the track at the start of the meeting.

For anyone interested, racing is on this sunday (weather permitting)

Should be a good day with a few Maitland club members (Myself included ) going along for a race.

Also Rod will be there, who has been very successful in Stock racing at a national level.

Lets hope no one smokes a motor! I had a run there today it was like driving on ice! Just a little moisture on the track... i assume the nitro cars are the cause of this (Oil + water)

Anyhow, Hope to see you all there!

Well there you go.... good day for racing.

Stockers were hooked up today... very nearly as fast as nitro? I didnt see the nitro times but i think we were close...

Rod M and Rob M and myself all managed to kick some fast times.

With some more setup work to be done, i cant wait to do it aggain!

Thanks guys
