Servo Question ?
#1
Hi Guys,
I have the standard Futaba S3003. Someone has mentioned buying a faster Servo for my Steering.
Whats the big advantage of having a faster servo? (I havent read much about servo's)
Any info would be great
Cheers,
Josh..

when you get faster than your 3003..mabey you could look at getting a better one..but i dought you could.. specially with a mini..have you got any good tool's or gauges or anything yet?
having a good car wont mean much unless you have the gear to back it up.

Yes.
Ive bought several tools from a reasonably priced LHS and this servo is for a Nitro car that I've had for sometime.
My equipment selection is growing, as per advice from other racers on the equipment I require and Ive started to attend a local meet in Sydney.
On the questions of Tools Painy, what tools would you recommend buying for a new person to RC?

hey man, yeah..have you got allen drivers?? not the kit one's.
how about box renches to suit your cars.."
an acto knofe..always time to cut,
body reamer
a camber gauge,, rpm makes a nice one..
a setup board is a must..make one your self
ride hight gauge
droop gauge..not nesesary
good philips screw driver, and flat head.
scisors, and even curved scisors..
wire cutters, and pliers..
soldering iron..i use a gas one, from dick smith electroncs..easy to use..and handle
i could keep adding to the list if you want but they are the things that would low you to do waht you want. i get alot of my tools from dicksmith electroncs..in the electronc tool section.
want any more ideahs..just ask

joshb mate. I have only just changed to a fast servo. And I only did that because I went to the new 3pk radio system. I used a S3003 up to then. don't waste your money on that yet. I agree the faster servo is better and people use to laugh at me when I told them what I used. It'd more than ok to use in your mini.
I am sure other things will make you quicker than a fast servo. The biggest thing I have found with the fast servo is that if you can see you have apexed too early you have time to correct it. So in turn you crash less. But after using a slow servo for sooooooo long I think it has made me a better driver.
So many other things to buy mate. and yea dick smith rocks for tools and bits. So many things you can get from non hobby shops that make it alot cheaper. Things like solder and wire I am talking about. I even saw tamiya motors selling for half the price in dick smith than a hobby shop.
Coxy.
