IF we finially get the all clear to Host the Nationals would it be worth while suggesting to the Committee that we run twice a Month for the restof the Year ?

I think it would be a Great Idea - Obviously the Points series would just be ran the 4th Sunday of the Month ...

Default VORTEC Meeting

Next Tuesday Night in Melbourne there is to be a VORTEC Meeting - If anybody is interested in going I think NT is going to go , Theo has offered to go as well as he will be already in Melbourne - I believe this is going to be alot to do with Classes ( I herd a rumour that Super Stock is on the outa I could be wrong but thats what I have Herd ) I think it will be good if we can get a few Ideas togther and have them submitted at the Meeting by our Representitive at the Meeting ...

Maybe it's time for Super Stock to move to 13.5 and Stock to 21.5 ???
There seems to be problems with the Super Stock times matching Modified !!
From what I can gather ( herd this at the Vics )
17.5 "Normal" Speedy = Stock
17.5 "Timing Advance" Speedy = Super Stock or Pro Stock
Modified

I could be wrong and hope i am wrong but i think we need to put some ideas together to send to the Meeting without starting a sh!t fight here - we could organize a meeting or something but i don't think we have time - I know i am out of action until I move House and not sure if the Prez is around/interested or not !

For the Record if they are going too / have too Change things personally
21.5 Stock
17.5 Pro Stock
13.5 Super Stock
Open Modified

Would be my Ideas - having these "club spec'' speedys for Stock are pointless in my opinion as when somebody wants to go up a class they need to spend money on a new speedy !!

Yup I am heading down at this stage.

Any arguments the club would like to put forwrd, I'm happy to present-the more evidence available to me (lap times etc) the better

hey Skip ,
how do you think your club would go with an extra class, would you still get good numbers through all classes

would you run 21.5 with a "normal" speedy so the step up from the novice class wouldn't hurt the pocket so much? i think we would still need a shall we say "cheaper" class to encourage new members along and to retain cash strapped ones as well who may not be able to afford all the good gear

I don't know if we would have enough numbers to fill classes i was just saying that as for sanctioned events - I really don't know what can be done ..

thanks Skip,
will be interested to see what results from the vortec meeting, there seems to be a bit of uneasiness within our club as to what the future holds for the sport
21.5 with standard speedy might work for us as a step from silver cans and there is a few stock guys wondering what next they have to buy to be competitive without having to change again if the rules change
when do next years regs tend yo be announced from VORTEC
what kind of lap times do the Tekin run 21.5 cars do? are they equivelant to the old stock?
sorry for all the questions but I will be asked to answer these this weekend
