2. have an enduro type event for the 1/10 scale gas classes. say have a 1 hour race, have teams of two and each do 15 min stints with there cars, that way each driver gets two 15 min stints and that would be fun i think. if u dont get what i mean ill explain better later! [/B][/QUOTE] good idea but from running in a few enduros you will need at least 3 per team for marsaling and porably a 4th as pit man...

All Great Ideas
Bring them up during the drivers meeting on Sunday.
As it will need to be decieded by the June 15 meeting (end of series trophy day).
The June 29 meeting (set-up day) is only five weeks away,
this meeting is will not be a point scoring race day as the new series starts July 20.

RC Hobby day listed on calendar for October 19 will be a non event this year so cross it of the calendar.

Weather Sunday has been forcast for a fine 23 degree day.

Yeah mitch i got all my order a week ago I had my 1st ever rc race at brissy last sunday on the dirt track. Got to the track a little later than what i hoped for so i only had 3 minutes to see what it was like. I hadn't even had a play when i built it either, Just around 5 mins of use before the race day, It's heaps harder than what i thought. I need Heaps of practice. I kept on spinning out on the corners and accellerating too fast and spinning out as well. Some laps i was doing high 24sec laps and other laps i was doing 45secs and higher So i was very inconsistant. My quickest lap time was 24:88sec and the fastest A grade guys were doing low 24secs so i'm happy about my time.
They put me in B grade which i won my 1st race and then came 2nd for the next 3 races and then came about 5th or 6th i think for the last So i was pretty happy with my performance. Got to the track a little later than what i hoped for so i only had 3 minutes to see what it was like. It's heaps harder than what i thought. I think i will be heaps better next race. I'm going up there this Sunday to spend the whole day testing because i need to set it up and try different things and to learn how to drive the bloody thing LOL

I went ok, i was in the Pro touring A final and i was in all the A heats... i scored a 1st in one, a third in another and a DNF (my wheel fell off hahaha) in the final i was dicing for 1st with the dude for atleast 5 laps and on the second last lap my sidebelt fell off so i only had rear wheel drive so if i gassed it up i would just do doughnuts so i nursed it home for 4th or 5th... i was last i was so devo cause i could have got in the top 2 and i was driving the wheels off the bastard hehe, i also got a 19.55 sec lap which i was pretty stoked with cause thats the first time ive broke the 20 sec mark, and i did a 19 sec lap in all the races

the day was pretty cool overall

Hi Guys
Glad you all like racing at Murwillumbah, we try to run a great day for you all.
Next race day (29 June) will be a track repair and set-up day for all that attend.
The first race in the new point series of 8 race days will start July 20.
In this new season drivers will be required to enter thier car in a class according to thier cars specifications i.e.

540 class can be any car but must use a Johnson 540 grey metal end bell motor, electronic speed controlers alowed.

Nitro Tourers are a 200mm 4wd touring car, sedan shell and must run a motor that has side exhaust

Pro tourers are the same as Nitro but can run a rear exhaust motor.

1/8 run to IFMAR rules

Track direction will be reversed to clockwise for the new series and we may try starts on the main straight when running in this direction to avoid the first corner pile-ups problems, as the first corner would be a wide sweeper then a hair pin a further 10 mtrs on.

In the mean keep your wheels on
Peter

Rebuildable Stock class (Stock Tourers) run to IFMAR rules

i had a pretty good day the MTX 3 was going awesome and that was with 26mm tires all round with 42 shore rears and 45 shore fronts so ill see what happens when i put a softer compound on and 30mm rears! the setup day should be cool, will there be lap timing ? ? i want to see what this mugen can do!
