iam running the ss5800 system from novak, love it really strong performance, and run time has increased over a stanrard brushed motor. good for enduro's.

cheers

I run a Novak GTB 5.5 in a FT B4 and it is quite incredible. I can't really drive it that well, perhaps a little too fast for me, but it flies. A couple of other guys at St Ives have them too. It barely gets warm and batteries last for ages, which is good for practise. :flaming:

im sick of pulling my motor apart has anyone had any problems owth the novak 4.5r gtb?

We had 8 guys in the final on the week-end at Logan in Brisbane on a big track with big straights with only one brush motor and seven brushless, both 4.5's and 5.5's it was awesome fun. No working on motors and heaps of laughts between rounds.

Fuhrer,
Any suggestions as to whom to buy them off ? At a good price like that.

Novak is cheaper but won't ship outside the US or Canada.

FStang,

Where are you located?

firestang 05-15-2006 06:27 AM

Melbourne.

Im running the Nosram Matrix Evolution with the Storm 4 star motor.

Very impressed so far

The best legal combo would be the GTB with the 4.5R, no other will come close speedwise. Only problem is you sometimes get a bad one and this applies to LRP as well as I seen them smoke for no reason.

brushless results

AS the scutineer of a number of events lately 1 being in sma round of the
C/cup it was interesting to see that 6 of the 8 A main finalists were
Brushless motors and all using 3800 cells a mixture of novak and lrp,not one word from any any competitor as to any problems, I also run a LRP sphere brushed/brushless system can not fault it, major improvement on the original
novak SS4800 system .

what ever you buy just make sure it is race legal
you will have lots of fun with it

The top 4 at the challenge cup were all running brushless systems. I believe besercoe was running the LRP with the 4 star motor and Troy, Luke, and myself ran Novak GTB 4.5 and 5.5. I Recommend the Novak system. Mine has not missed a beat and it's quick!! Runtime is not a problem either. I was pulling out on average 1200Mah out of my Feral 3800's. Although SMA is not a huge track, thats pretty good considering i was just making time with a 7X1.
