The event rules are dictated by the sponsor of the event.
Similar regulations are placed upon racers at various other events. The most recent being the RTR Lines Winternuts, racers were not allowed to use a certain brand of widely available battery. The end of the day if rules are set you either adhere to them or do not race.

So Deans plugs are not allowed?
It's a pain in the arse having to strip all my packs to put Tamiya plugs on them.

Shit! You will have a very small race day and I think that the all-important sponsor maybe less than imprested with that outcome!
I believed that a question was a was to get a answer not an insult!

If you are talking about stock you don't have to, all you need to do is use a joiner between the packs and speed controller. All you have to do is make sure there is a Tamiya plug in the power line .If want to talk about it PM me and I will give you a full explaination. But do one thing before you do and read all the rules not just the front page.

By stripping the packs I only meant removing the deans plugs. Yes, I plan on racing my trusty TT01 in stock.
"If you are talking about stock you don't have to, all you need to do is use a joiner between the packs and speed controller."
Ok thanks I was hoping that was allowed but I must be missing something here in the rules...
6. No modifications to the wires or connectors allowed. Must use standard Tamiya connectors.
8. With the exception of Stock class any motor connector or direct hard wiring to the motor allowed.

rule 8. you still have to run bullet conectors to the motor as per kit and a tamiya plug must be used in the power line and the battery. refer to Number6.
But in other classes you can use any conector and hard wire the motor.eg BUggy GT1 and mini.
