The 2015 GForce Keilor Invitational!

The 2015 Gforce Keilor Invitational is a invitation and open entry race meet featuring the best of the best, top 20 drivers from all over Australia invited to compete in the Invite feature races.
The year will feature an open class format in both stock and modified classes which anyone can enter from our youngest die hard racer to our more laid back seniors with the winners of the open classes getting an automatic entry to the following years Invitational Classes! The Open classes will colminate into the focus of sundays finals as they all try to gain access to the 2016 Event!

Ever thought you may not quite be at the pointy end of the fields? well this is your chance to compete at your highest level without those pesky top 20 drivers getting in your way!

Location: Keilor Electric Off Road RC Car Club, Stadium Drive Keilor Park

Date : Practise: Friday January 23rd from 12pm Onwards and Saturday January 24th from 8am - 12pm
Qualfying : Saturday 24th from 1pm

Race: 8:30am Sunday onwards.

Direction: Clockwise, track will have new surface, modified Layout and will be sugared or treated accordingly, this to ensure the most consistance race surface and help maintain the race surface in what may be a hot time of year.

Open Class format:

4 rounds of qualifying on Saturday starting at 1pm.
1 round of qualifying starting at 8.30a.m. then followed by 3 mains for all finals!
Qualifying will be best 3 of 5 rounds.

Classes:

Open: 2wd Stock, 4wd Stock, 2wd Modified, 4wd Modified
*stock = 17.5t ARCMCC approved esc & Motor

Winners of the open classes get automatic entry into following years invite field

Class Rules
• Vehicle rules as per AARCMCC.
• Cars scrutineered after each race .
• Top 5 Stock finishers will have rotors and Stators checked along with ESC parameters via Laptop or similar external device
• Transponder numbers for each vehicle to be provided with entry form
• Payment by direct deposit, credit card or cash to club

Tyres: All open classes will be running open tyres, we do however recommend a closed cell insert.


Trophies:

Awarded to top 3 of all classes ( Open an Invite classes )
Concourse : separate 2wd and 4wd concourse Judging 12:30pm Saturday 24th , Guest Judge!
top Junior: awarded to the top junior racer under 16

This was such a great event last year, and congratulations for the Keilor guys for offering it up again!!

Cheesy also must be commended for last years smooth running of the tyre impound, a rare sight in EP OFR, with no mistakes. Glad to see you taking the reigns of it again mate.

To any of the invitees. Make the trip!! This will be a sh#t hot event, and is an absolute blast if you've not raced this rotating format before.

So unless you are competing at the International Reedy Race, this will be the best meeting anywhere in the world you can attend at that time of year!! (no pressure John!)

Ha Ha , no pressure mate, we have this covered, this event will be bigger and better than anything we have seen here before, we still have a few tricks and announcements up our sleeves yet to come!

Like all good events it hinges on the support of the racers, no club can put on a good meet without the epic people we spend our spare time with.

This is a great opportunity for the sponsored Invite (and non sponsored of course ) drivers to represent their sponsors at an event that is designed to promote our great hobby with the best of the best along with , what I'm hoping is a really cool support and a huge field of dedicated open class drivers and our next generation of rc fanatics !
