2011 J Concepts Clash
#16
y was last years j clash an open Tyre event and this year we have to use j con tyres if u guys want to get more entries u should do it like last year
alot of people can not afford to buy new tyres and rims for the clash this close to chrismas
im pulling of the clash for that reason if u guys change it to an open tyre event i will come and so will alot of other people
plus i cant run j cons rim on the front of my durango dex210

I had read this it was in bold and I went and brought my JC tyres
we used JC DD at the the nationals on a high grip track and in stock you could get 3 to 4 runs out of them

If you were serious about entering the last big event of the year you'd go buy a set or two, it's not as if they're a crap tyre you'll be able to use them again on other tracks.
Have look at some peoples over all RC set up i hardly doubt a couple sets of tyres are going to blow the budget.
stop sooking buy a couple of sets of tyres and enter who knows you may even have some fun

I'm not being a sook just stating a fact I no of at least 5 more people that would enter 2 classes if I was an open tyre event so u do the maths on that and c how many people u guys r missing out on

Costs for JCon's tyres if you need to obtain them at the track:
Buggy front or rear $13 pair
Truck / Short Course $16 pair
1/8 buggy $18 pair
FYI - Double D's are working well on the current surface with the buggies.

Even if the surface is a bit abrasive, I believe with the goop down you should get away with pretty worn tyres on the day.

It's called "The Jconcepts Clash"...... it is here as well as all over the world a controll tyre event... as is the "proline challenge" , "the Sweep cup" and so on etc. Most tyre manufacturer's put on a race of some sort and they are all controlled to that specific manufacturer's tyre. The deal is that they sponsor a high profile event to help keep enthusiasm for rc racing .... and the entrants will get the chance to try a tyre by said manufacturer and perhaps find it to their liking and then of course continue to use the tyre into the future.
Thats the deal..... if you enter....then you are agreeing to give there tyre a try for the duration of the event.

Entries - Its not a popularity contest, we are at approx 40 entries already, half way to last years 80 entries with a week and a half to go, im sure we will go close to last years. We took the risk of a couple of reduced entries with the JC Controled tyre rule, if this happens so be it. We are not changing the rules, if you dont feel like racing at this great event dont, no one is forcing you.

Do it,,u know u want to,,
