Race Format and points...
Ok here we go....So its all about consistancy...
Each event will be 3-4 qualifing heat(depending on numbers) races, there will be no qualifing heats to be dropped for each event, qualifing heats are 7mins long. Qualifing heats will be drawn randomly.
Finals at each round will be ABC no bump-ups and will be a max of 20mins(we need to be finished racing by 9.30pm), then points will be awarded once we have all the placings. So points will go like this, each class will be awarded points 1st 100, 2nd 99, 3rd 98 and so on...there is no extra points for qualifing.
When you nominate to race you have to clasify what class you will be in, so here is how the classes work, if you sponsered in anyway that includes discounted parts or tyres you are a pro, if you get no help at all you are sportsman and for the masters class you must be over 40 years of age and is nitro buggy class only...
To qualify for the finals day you must have raced at 2 qualifing rounds and only 3 out of the 4 rounds count for points so you can drop your worst round.
Finals race day you will be seeded into heats from your points from your overall position on the points board, heats on the finals day will be 15mins each. For the finals they will be bump-up finals, for nitro they will be a max of 30mins and the A-main will be a max of 40mins, electric class will be 3 x 15min finals. And points are doubled on finals day.
You must be nominated by 1.30pm for each of the 4 rounds and racing will start at 2.30pm. Finals day you must be nominated by 9am and racing will start at 10am sharp...
Thanks
Karl...
