Daniel, feel free to take a setup sheet off me when you get down here. It's at least a good starting point for our track.
Will do Tim....not long to go

Default Update AARCMCC rules for 2011

Being the first major event of the year for IC on-roads, there a few rule changes as outlined by AARCMCC. Besides INS boxes for 1/10th, there are new body mounting rules for both classes.

There is also an Engine allowance rule during qualifying and finals:

5.10 Engine Allowance

A Competitor may use a maximum of two engines per class during qualifying and finals. At least one engine must be sealed by Technical Inspection before qualification rounds commence. The engine cooling head and button may be opened at any time by the competitor or their mechanic. A competitor who exceeds their engine allowance will disqualified from the Championship. The engine backplate of each engine will be marked and sealed for the duration of the championship. The seal will have different indicators for each engine. Each engine may be opened once for maintenance. Maintenance means that one or more components may be replaced, or maintained, within the engine before the engine is resealed. At the completion of a final or heat, any engine found to have a broken seal will result is the engine using it’s rebuild. Use of engines that have had the seal broken more than once will result in disqualification from the Championship. Unsealed engines used during practice are not counted towards the competitors’ engine allowance.

Just be aware of the updated rules which can be found on the AARCMCC website: http://www.aarcmcc.org/downloads.html

Me too, only it was paid a little while ago.

On another note, this coming Sunday, and more than likely during the Vics, can I get somebody to be my refueller?? Im slowly running out of time and options, and nobody seems to want to be in on the awesomeness of racing XD

Hey DJ, I am sure you will find someone to help with fuelling as long as you return the favour. Before you ask, I can't fuel 1/10th cars to save my life

I saw on one of your previous post that you could do 9min 30 sec on one tank. Try driving the car a little smoother and see if you can get the extra 30 seconds, that might also solve your problem.

9 Min. 30 Sec. in a race! You'll set new world record if you improve on that! We're sometimes struggling to get 5 Min. in Brisbane.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

Default Entry closes this Sunday

Hi All,

Just a reminder that all entries will close this Sunday (late fee applies after this date). If you haven't posted your entries by now, it won't get to us on time. Enter via slyfox and make the payment via b-pay. We will also be accepting entries this Sunday at our first club meeting of the year.

Only 13 days to go..........

Cheers,
Tim

HAHAHAHA!! getting anywhere CLOSE to 8 minutes would prove to be a challenge for a track like Lillydale's!!
I got that 9:20 on the Keilor track, which as some know it is a small track and the grip is poor (always covered in dust)
But I think I should be able to get to the 6 minute mark, I just need some time on the track to tune it up and then see just how long a single tank will last me!

And as for the fuel-guy, I did manage to get someone to help me this Sunday, and now I just need to find someone to help during the Vics!
I got a few responses, so hopefully Ill get them to help me out, otherwise I wouldn't have a problem doing the same for someone else! I just get a little nervous marshalling the 1/8's on corners - the fear that they won't make the turn or they would traction-roll into me!!

Bulfrg to answer your question yes you need to submit your car and engine on Saturday for scutineering before you can put your car on the track.
