Default Mamba Max Combo

I just thought I would let people know of a site in US that is selling Mamba Max ESC and brushless motors for about 200AUD delivered.

Go to http://www.b-p-p.com/products.php?cat=40 for further details.

I have ordered mine, and considering that some sites here are selling them for 340-360 this sounds like a really good deal.

Sorry if it is off topic!

Phil

I've known about B-P-P for a while and chatted to Troy there, good guy! He always tries to give you advice and the best price possible. I was going to order one from there but I've decided to get a sensored system instead.

I have 3 Mamba max systems from B-P-P (2 5700s and a 7700), they cost about $AU220 ea posted. These guys are great to deal with but their free shipping is much slower than the regular shipping from other US shops so I'd recommend enquiring about upgrading the shipping speed unless you are in no hurry at all.

Yep , ive bought heaps of motors off Troy and their service for warranty and general advice is absolutely nothing but sensational , you are always treated as gold there but yes , their postage is terrible , if you order it , expect a good 6 week wait , ive even had a 3 monther so all i can say is if you order off them KEEP ON THEIR BACK EVERY FEW DAYS TO FIND OUT WHERE YOUR PRODUCT IS AT

Trust me bloke , send emails every second or third day to follow up , dont feel your a pain in the ass cause at the end of the day you are the customer , to be honest with you , 3 out of my 5 orders with them have just been a total mess and i mean total with the last 1 taking just under 3 months .

If anyone is going to order off them STATE IT IN CAPITALS that you are going to email them every few days to follow it up and YOU WANT a tracking number as you have heard many bad stories about their delivery department . Personally and on the record , i believe it just gets put aside in being sent out most of the time which is ashame as their service and pricing before that is outstanding and i say this as a 5 time customer and still a customer that will continue buying off them .

Absolutely mad specials though at the moment , Max combo 4900 through to 7700 all at $168 inc motor and esc , theres some bloke trying to flog off just the esc for $170 on this or some other forum so i dont like the poor blokes chances .

Im seriously debating gabbing the 6900 as ive got the other combos and love the 7700 over all of them but can vouch it doesnt like a 3S lipo ( BANG AND CRACK ) so drop down to the 6900 and pump the 3S into that for a finer balance over the 5700 .

IT ALSO SAYS THAT YOU CANT USE THE ESC IN 1/10 MONSTERS. but it works just fine. i think it is underrated. just keep the temps down, and it shouldnt be a problem (this is one of the main reasons that higher voltages cannot be used...)

i offered the dude 130 for the esc...he said get lost. hahaha he wont sell it as long as this is up the top.

mate ive got the 7700 in a stampede its heats up like hell but it flys
batteries quickly become flexible , plastic melts and so on
they are recomedations in order to keep your motor from well becoming useless

Yep , the first 7700 i exploded due to overgearing as it cracked the center magnet right in half due to heat and it was running on a 2S 8000mah pack so even a 2S in the wrong configuration will blow in a couple of runs .

My second 7700 i ran on a 3S as ( back in the days almost a year ago when these were new and not many peope knew anything bout them ) it was hit and miss on running 3S as some did with no issues and others didnt handle it . I took the risk on the 3S and it ran for quiet a few months running hardcore peak on temps etc untill once again , heat killed the rotor .

I then bought another 7700 but ive got my punch and settings down pretty low to keep the thing cool , ive got temp sensors on it now and have done allot of tests in terms of gearing vs heat for my HPI Pro4 as im really looking after this baby so im really giving it stick for a few speed runs then cradleing it and i can use my top end without overheating .

Why would i go 3S on it and not just run the 5700 safely , well i dont race , im a pure speed freak and my 5700 on 3S doesnt cut what im after , the 7700 is getting close .

Anyway , i love the mamba maxs and for only like $80 a motor delivered , its just value for money in my eyes although i think their not legal for racing ????? not sue on that but something for people to look into before buying .
