Hitec Servos
#1
Hello...
I'm looking to upgrade the stock standard servo in my Losi xxx-s.
I'm looking at 3 Hitec servos...Am I in the ballpark?
The 525MG, the 625MG and the 925MG....
I should be looking for more sped than torque for a touring car, correct?
I know the 925MG is fastest and most expensive....but will it's performance over the 525 and 625 be noticably worth the extra cost?
Or...Should I be looking at a digital servo? If so what do you reccomend?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

The HS-925 is higher of the 3 models mentioned....
If your looking at digital check into:
HS-5925MG
HS-5945MG
HS-5955TG
HS-6635HB
HS-6965HB
HS-6975HB
HS-6985HB
I used a HS-5925 in my XXXs
Also use an aftermarket servo saver like the large Kimbrough one.

The HS-525MG is a really good servo for the money. I used to use them exclusivley until the coreless and digital servos were developed.
A lot depends on your skill level in order to justify the additional cost.

You will notice the difference for sure. I have the 625,645,925 and the 5925, 5945 all MG. The 625 is use in my 'backup' 1/10th onroad electric, the 925 i use in my main car, the reason is the 925 and 5925 (digi) are so much faster responsed. Makes the car very very agile. I love the 925 in my TA-04. I use the 645 and the 5945 for throttle and brake servos on nitro cars. IMHO, the 925 is well worth the money.
