I read on KoPropos site that the digitals, at least theirs, have a tendancy to blow the boards in them when or if they get bound up and you are trying to steer at the same time. Say if you hit a board fairly hard and it puts stress on the servo because it is receiving a signal to steer at the same time. How likely is this to happen and do most Digitals have this problem or is it something that has been worked out?

This is something that I haven't heard of before. I have 5945 servos in my XR buggy and they are rock solid. If they were to blow a board they probably should have done it by now, I beat this car someting fierce, LOL. I'll check into it but as far as I know we don't have that problem. TTYL.

It was a little bit of an exageration on my part, it says Blown FET hybrid modules on the Ko site. So not necessarily the entire board but a part of the IC board. I have never heard of it happening so it must be pretty rare. It states that if the servo is at full lock left or right and the wheels are bound up on something so that they can not turn at all and the servo receives the command to return to neutral or the opposite direction, then the servo will get a surge of power and because it cannot move it will blow the module! At least pretty much to that affect. It also states some other causes. Maybe this just simply doesn't apply for other makes because it seems as though they are about the only company that makes the FET boosted servos. At least they are the only ones that mention that they have FET's in them. If you are curios about this go to the Ko site and go to What's New, then to News and click on the 17th of march!
