12th scale pan car servo suggestions
What would be a good choice for a servo for a 12th scale pan car. mini? std?
I have had nothing but great results from Hitec servos.
Thanks,
Rod

I used the 225MG

The 5245MG is a better choice over the 225 because of the digital circuit that offers better centering and resolution.
My top choice is still the MPX Micro Speed Digi like Tres suggested.

Thanks all
On the digital servos. Is a rx pack a must have? I heard that a non digital servo will probably work off the main pack ok, but digitals will cause steering problems without a rx pack. Right now I am deciding between the HS-85MG or the Multiplex digi mini.
Any one have a good source for the little batt cells to build a rx pack. Say 150mAh.
Thanks,
Rod

If you run MOD, yes, a Rx packs is a must....
If you run stock, it depends on your ESC.....

I should have my rx pack in a few days. and after researching the 5245mg it looks like the best value. and i have had good luck with hitec servos, so i will see if my lhs can find one.
Here is a list of the servos i had found and was looking at;
futaba s9602 or s9650
air 94145z
jr 3550
ko p47
multiplex digi mini
hs-85mg or hs-5245mg
looks like anyone of those would work.
Thanks
See ya,
Rod

servo saver
Anyone have a part number for a small servo saver that will fit the HS-5245MG?
Also, I want to shorten the wires some to better fit and look better on the chassis. Since this servo will only be installed on this one car I don't see the need to have the extra length on the wires. This shouldn't affect any warranty or service work if I get everything hooked up and find I have a dead servo should it?
Thanks
