Lynx 3D questions

OK, here is what the switch does........
You have 2 sides of the switch.
Side one:
Has 2 leads coming from it
One has red & black wires(a)
ones has Red, black & yellow(b)
Side two:
Has one lead coming from it
Red, black & yellow(c)
All the switch does is switch the red wire.
It connects the red wire from(a) to the red wire from either (b) or (c) depending upon switch location.
The yellow from (b) connects directly to the the yellow from (c)
The black from (b) connects directly to the black from (c)
Neither one is controlled by the switch.
With the switch in the ON position:
(a) connects to (c)
This is the position for RUN/DSC
With the switch in the OFF postion:
(a) connects to (b)
This is the postion for charge
(a) connects to the battery
(b) is the charge/DSC connector
(c) connects to the Rx

That pic is interesting. I have Hitec switches (that came with the 3D) on all 5 of my vehicles, and not one of them looks like that. All mine have a red, black, and yellow wire on all 3 sets of wires. I realize the yellow wire going to the battery pack was probably just a dud and it was easier just to leave it, but it was still there.

1/8" jack connects to the radio, other end connects to the Rx....
Page 14 of the manual.
If you using the Xxtra Rx you may need to swap the pins in the connector.....
D.S.C. (Direct Servo Control)
This feature allows the operation of the receiver without transmitting a signal. Connect the DSC cord
to the transmitter by plugging it into the jack on the left side of the transmitter face. Note: The
transmitter will turn on automatically but will not be transmitting a signal. Then connect the other end
of the cord to the receiver in the Bat/DSC slot if used in conjunction with an ESC or to the external slot
on the optional switch harness if used with a NiCad receiver battery.
