HS-7940TH
Anyone use this servo?
http://www.hitecrcd.com/servos/show?name=HS-7940TH |
Hey Jason,
Unfortunately, no one has had a chance to use that servo as it does not hit the market until August of this year. I have been testing the HS7950TH, and if the 40 is anything like the 50, it is going to be a very popular servo. The 50 is the torqy brother of the 40. |
August? The website says June.

The release date got pushed back unfortunately.:( It will be well worth the wait.

JR makes great servos, if you have to have a servo right away that is a good choice. The 7955TG is also a great servo, it just doesn't have the speed i think you are after. IMHO you can't go wrong with titanium. I am willing to give up some speed to make sure that i finish a race.

I actually already have the 7955 in my hyper 9 now. Really want something faster. It was alright when I had 7v going to it but my tekin only does 6v and I really dont want to run an external bec unit.

I think the 7950 needs a warning for those people with radio's without EPA adjustments.. with tah amuch amount of torque on lipo, it would easily strip out servo horns.
|
So whats the official release date for the 7940 & 7950?
|
August.

is anyone using it now?
do you like it as a steering servo for buggy? |
7940's
I am currently using 2 of these servos for steering in my buggy and my truggy. Plenty of power, blistering fast speeds. Best servo I have used to date and I have used the JR9100s, Associated DS1015, Hitec 7955.

sounds good:nod:
anyone else who tried them? |
no one using it?

Hi all, Do these servos have to be used with lipos or are 6v hump packs ok?And can u run lipo thru the standard reciever that comes with a DX3r does any1 know?
|
Guys, Im running the 7940 (steering) and the 7950 (throttle) in my new Mugen MRX5. I was running a 7955 in my old MRX4X it was tuff as nails, but slow compared to the 7940.
In my first run with the new car and the new servos I finished 5th in the A main at the famed Ft Myers RC car track. The car felt very connected and the servos were very smooth. Currently I'm running a nimh battery with a plan of going to lipo as soon as I can find one that will fit in the car. I have my 7955 as a back up but I am on the hunt for some new 7940s these servos get very high marks from me !! I have run Sanwa, JR, and KoPropo servos in the past ... I'm NOT going back. |
