Default noisy servos

why are hitec servos so noisy? all my higher end hitec servos are so noisy, it makes me think something is wrong, yet i know nothing is wrong. and why are other digital servos not as noisy?

just curious. i have no other issues with hitec, just curious about the noise.

I'll assume your higher end servos are probably digital. They make noise because of the digital circuitry. What you are hearing is the servo constantly refreshing to hold the position. Now when you compare that to other digitals, ours are a bit louder still and that is because we use a better motor. The high end servos use a coreless motor instead of a standard 3 poll so the digital noise gets amplified a bit more. You can think of it as the sound of precision.

So would the TG7955 servos be your high end ones?

I just installed two in my Losi 2.0 truggy and they do whine and chirp just sitting there under no load. When they are moving they do quiet down. I think some of the loudness is the radio tray resonance too.

It certainly is something I will have to try and live with if normal.

I will learn to live with it then. Almost sounds like they are glitching hence my concern. Looking forward to a long and happy relationship with Hitec.
