hey guys@hitec, need your help!

dear sirs,
i recently bought a 705mg quarter scale servo for my txt.
works great, but all this while, i've been using a seperate rx pack to power it.
my question is, if my Mtronik esc B.E.C. output is 5v/1.5Amax. do i need to use the rx pack or can the esc handle the 705mg without it.
if i can i would like to get rid of the rx pack.
too much clutter on my otherwise great truck.

Cool truck....

I would stay with the Rx pack to be on the safe side...

1.5A BEC is still on the low side.....

Other option would be to change to a higher AMP capable ESC...

Checkout the HFX if you want to stay with something small...

BEC Output 6 volts / 5 Amps

hey Tres,
what would happen if my esc didn't have enuf amps to run the quarter scale servo?
would anything fry? or would glitching be the problem?
thanks in advance.

Tres 03-06-2003 06:54 AM

What happens most of the time is the Rx doesn't have enough power and the result is glitching.....

Strange things can happen...
