I had two servos fail on me in the same day. One was repaired by Hitec and the was only about 3 months old. the one that was repaired was kepted as a back up. when the other servo failed, I installed the other repaired servo and it only made it about 5 laps. I don't understand how these servos failed. I didn't have any major collisions or unusual abuse. just racing. I had them installed in a losi xxx-nt. I have a buddy that was running a stock servo for two season without any problems. I would like to know if hitec will repair these servos, or am I just out of $120 bucks? I have one more that I have not had no problems with but I am scared to run it on a nitro vehicle in fear of a runaway.

was your servo saver really tight?
I have run Hitec servos for years, I have 5, run in gas truck, buggy, truck, tc, 1/12, 1/10 pan; I've broken servo savers but not the servos yet.
I've always heard great things about Hitec servicing servos.

I was using them for steering and throtle. the first one that went out on me was being used on the throtle. I sent that one out to be repaired so i bought another one. then my steering servo went out and i replaced it with the one that I got back from hitec.it then failed. the gears are not stripped. no i do not use abs. yes i do know how to set epa correctly. i'm not a rookie. It seems to be a motor problem with the servos. The servos are a hs645mg and a hs625mg. and no, the servo saver is not to tight. i used a jr plastic geared servo to finish out the season. I have heard many other complaints from racers at my track having problems with there hitec servos. I would like to think that you do not have to spend $100-$120 to get a servo that you can depend on. I choose hitec because the price was right and the guy at the hobby store recommended them to me as a good servo.

I also have another hs625mg that I almost forgot about. I had that in my T-maxx. I was using it for throtle. It met the same fate as the others. Can I send these three servos back for two upgraded servos? or something? rob

My 5625 throttle servo died today during warm-up for my main. It has only been in the car for 2 races and this is the second time it has failed. Another warranty repair.
