First bad servo :(
#1
Just wondered...
I was using a HS-225bb servo for rudder control on a sailboat.
The ratings on the servo gave me the impression this would not be a problem.
A lot of people use STD kit servos for this job.
Well from install of new to death it only lasted about 27 hours of use.
I think it was the amplifier.. is that common? I have never had a servo go bad before.. I have stripped gear sets.. but never have one just go?
IT was acting funny for a last few hours (like getting interfearence) Then... Dead.. nothing.. you could get power was getting to the servo.. but it would do nothing... Disappointing..

Sorry to hear that.....
Send it in for repair....
You may want to look at a standard size servo.
I would think a large rudder would put a heavy load on the servo for an extended amount of time compared to a car or plane.....
Either way, they should fix ya up....
