Was it doing this prior to you installing the XXL? Also check for any metal to metal contact on the car.

This is the First Time anything was Installed a new kit New Everything I tryed 4 Differant Recivers Brand New., 3 battery packs 2 brand new The Only thing I can Come up With Is the Metal Gears in the Servos I have 5 cars on 1 radio M8 and the new one (Impulse #2) is the only Car that has metal Gears Servos and the only 1 Glitching.I also tryed a Differant radio And For the moment It is Working Ok. a( JR racing) What Confuses me is Why only 1 in 6 cars Glitch Even If I remove The Reciver From The Non Glitching Cars It still Glitches in the Car. Like I said so far I thinking its the metal Gear Servos. Its the Only Thing I can Come up with. thanks For any Help You May can Give Norman

Hmm. Is this glitching happening when the car is running or when it is just sitting there? Are these new servos that you haven't used before? Sorry for all the questions but I am trying to see whats happening. Have you tried any different servos in the car to see if the problem goes away? TTYL.

Snake - Take it to your LHS.. They should be able to help you. At my LHS, we even substitute equipment untill we get rid of the problem... We almost always find the problem...

I dont mind all the Questions.... Yes it Happens With the Car standing Still Unstarted I am Afraid to Start it with Such Glitching
I did Try 2 plastic Gear Servos But they Was Not Mounted In the Radio Tray (Top Plate) But they Did Not Glitch. I figure The Radio Maybe Out Of Tune a small amount and With the Metal Gears It Is causing The Glitch Duz This Sound Right ? The Hitec Servos Are new and never Used I bought 3 New and Seems That all 3 are Glitching.LikeI said Before They Do9 not Glitch With The JR Racing XR3 Fm Radio and They Do Glitch With the Airtronics M8 Radio
I talked To Airtronics about the Problem and They Sugessted It Might be Off Freq. a small Bit and to Send it In For Tuning. Thanks again For All Your Help Norman

Well I found the Problem That caused the Glitch its a M8 / Hitec
Problem I have talked to others that have had the same trouble with Hitec and The m8 radio. I switched the Servos to another name brand and what do you Know no More Glitching. Even With Out Gettin the radio retuned Or doing Nothing more then replacing the Servos I still Use the Servos In my Other Impulse With a JR Racing XR3 Radio.

I fixed a similar problem with my HS5925 by plugging a large capacitor (2200mfd 16V) into the battery port on the receiver. The servo has quite a current spike when it starts to move. This would draw down the voltage available to the receiver and cause it to glitch. Since the installation everything has been smooth. If you do this remember to observe the correct polarity unless you want to see the inside of your capacitor. :-)

Matt,

I agree with u, have similar problem with HS81.
At first few runs it's OK but at the end start to glitch when motor running at full speed. Doesn't Hitec have cap on its ps circuitry?
Cheers.

ev6rc: the HS-81 won't draw near the current that the HS-5925 will...

It will draw a lot of current if the end points are not set though...

The cap "Stutter Stopper" will smooth out PS spikes and also supply a small amount of current when the battery drops below the CAPS voltage....

A glitch in gas cars can be VERY hard to find......

Check these:
loose screws
low batteries(tx or Rx)
EPA on the servos(try turning it down to test)

Are you running a 4 or 5 cell pack?
