Tekin RS and R1 Pro
I have two ESC's sitting around that I would like to send to a new home for cheap.
The first is a Tekin R1 pro, that is in great condition and runs fine if you use a non-sensored brushless motor. Otherwise it cogs with some sensored motors. If you are not familiar, this was their top ESC several years back (2007 or 2008)? Not sure. Every now and then it cogs off the line, but once it gets going it's just as smooth as an RS. This ESC is sensorless (no cable).
R1 sold
Next is a Tekin RS. I have had this for about two seasons. Runs fine. but recently developed a short. Shuts off all by itself. I am pretty sure it is the on/off switch that needs to be replaced.
RS Sold
I am going to try another brand, so I am not going to replace the switch. I have the original boxes, and can leave the wires soldered on if you need it.
Make me an offer. Trades welcome.
Edit: I don't have the Hotwire. Also neither ESC was ever overheated. I'd say neither one went above 150 degrees. Also the soldering to the ESC was done correctly. I have some experience with this, so neither ESC was overheated while soldering wires.
