I had a great time again. This time the competition bar was raised up.
Jody and Steve ran stock instead of 19t this time, leaving me chasing a lap and a half difference. Unless something changed in the main, I'm still a second off the pace but I did decrease my lap times by .4 of a second. Thanks Steve for some help on the gearing. I was only off by 6 teeth or so!!!!!
Mike Collins and Eric Anderson ran in the 19t class and they increased the competition level. It was a joy to watch them 2 race and Michael Skeen and Brandt chasing but it made me wonder if I will ever get that good. Brandt did good until a brush hung up. I guess I'm just impressed with the 19t class all together.
It was also nice to see Jason from Memphis again. It had been since our last races in Booneville that we had spoken. They are still racing in Memphis. They just moved the track to a different area in the parking lot and hope Haverty's does not keep bugging them. So if you go to Memphis, avoid the Haverty's furniture store.
The most impressive thing I saw tho this weekend was Robert Dirla on bathroom cleanup/oversight duties. Now this story is deep (no pun intended) but he worked his butt off along with the roto-ruter guy. I am guessing that he missed several races to help insure the toilet situtation got handled. Self sacrifice so that everyone has a better time. You just do not see this out of most racers, especially on a race day. I wish we were all so dedicated to our sport/hobby. The track spent big time money to get this cleaned up and Robert spent alot of time overseeing the project. So I say thank you Robert.
Chuck and his dad have done a great job with making the drivers stand accessible for those using wheelchairs. In this case it may be just me that uses it but at least the effort is made to include everyone in racing. Now I need another excuse for hitting the walls
By the way Skeen, I didnt feel good enough to stay around and get you those motors to zap for me. Will catch ya next time.

Watching the 19t class was good. Made me see that I should be running stock. Well at least on carpet. My luck on carpet is bound to get better.
Skeen, thanks for the use of the diff. I need to make a big order to the hobby shop.

Good point Mr Utley, seeing Dirla up to his knees in $&%# was just too good
All kidding aside that was pretty selfless of him to help get the bathroom thing resolved. Thanks Robert!!!!
