I'm going to pick up the stuff from Josh this weekend, once he's done using it. With the mower at the track being down right now, Josh's will fill in. Would it be possible to use the other one for the sifter (automated) or a homemade compactor?

The trailer was delivered today. It cost me a Slash and Ken an ESC. It is chained to the storage unit. I'll post some pics after I get them uploaded to the web.

***Found some info on a homemade compactor--anyone have any idea's?****

Sandwich some 3/4" plywood to form ,say 16 X 24 X 2 1/4 thick base.
Glue and bolt together.
Mount 2 pillow bearings maybe 6-8" apart with an 'unbalanced' weight in the center and terminate with a pulley at one end.
Mount the largest pulley that will fit on the shaft (perhaps even blocks to raise the pillow bearings) and drive this 'unbalanced shaft & weight' with a 1750RPM 1/2 hp electric motor.
You might even want to use a second pillow block setup to furthur reduce the unbalanced shaft RPM's as you really want the unbalanced weight to rotate real slow.

Crude, will wear out the ply fairly fast but will do the job, but then you could always add some steel flat plate stock to the bottom as a wear plate.

Total, some plywood, couple of shafts, 4 pillow block bearings and 3 pullies.
Presuming you 'borrow' an electric motor from one of your power tools for the duration.
For a handle, use an old lawn mower handle.

Excellent!

We could use the other mower since it vibrates so bad and attach it to the rack of expanded metal I have, may work...

working on the RCP SCT table top....lookin pretty good

Mike Liem is trying to set up a demo at the BX on Kadena on November 13th, anyone interested??

Will be going to a robot competition on Saturday and maybe The Hill on Sunday...

November 13th sounds good for me.

First test run of the new Caster ZX-1.5R nitro buggy went ok. I have the GoTech .21 on it but a little under powered; the Werks B5 will take care of that. A few minor things to adjust but I plan on running it hard on Sunday and see what it has or what it can hold up to.

Might also get a chance to break in B5 for the truggy this week end as well.

Nice trailer anthony............good find!!!

Here are pics of the trailer:

I can get a steel plate for the homemade compactor if we go that route. I can also get some of the metal grating seen on the trailer (but thicker) for dragging the track. If needed I have access to a Gator (6 wheel atv) on a temp loan basis.

Default Kadena BX Demo

The BX demo will be on Nov 13th. The BX manager is letting us have the largest of the grassy areas by the store entrance. We could also setup a display for our buggies, truggies, etc and have a stack of flyers with info on The Hill.

Jon thought setting up a few jumps would suffice but I would like to try and setup a simple course. I have the Kadena Fire Dept donating a couple of rolls of old fire hoses for the track barriers.

At the next SCT nite at RCP I will have more info. Mr Rice is also open to us using a paved section for drifts and on-road stuff.
