So my Futabby 3pm pooped on itself today. The steering spring that sets the steering back to 0 broke off. A very small plastic pin broke off and that cashed its chips.

So, I ordered the Futabby 3pks and got a helluva deal I think. Pick a new one up with 2 receivers for $335 from Tower with Priority shipping. It was about the best deal I could find. Kinda excited about it. Might need to read up on this thing so I can work it.

Pretty sure I have a lot less invested in the hobby than most of you old fogeys. I would say that I'll probably stop breaking stuff once I get more time into the hobby but watching you rc vets hack and break stuff every weekend is making me wonder. In addition, I would like to note that you cannot base your opinions of my "breaking reputation" on a glass Tamiya Db01 and a violently overpowered firestorm flux. I don't think I'll have anymore "axlenut" issues with the firestorm now that it is slower and I have rebuilt most of the driveline since I removed the sidewinder combo.

Speaking of crap never working/breaking........ How is that 5T running?

But just in case the wife finds out that I just picked up a $300++ radio, I'll come see your wife to learn to knit.

What about the Slash ESC and Lipo roast?

And two A arms in less than a lap?

You might actually be turning into a racer...woah.

I consider the LiPo Roast a fluke. That is still an X-File.
The 2 Arms, well, I consider that the price of RC and I don't think that there was a lot of Quality in those A-arms. They needed a little boiling water probably. I made some hits with the Mugen arms that were a little worse and it held up fine.

Default Parts/Tires etc...

So, are most of you ordering your parts from the states? I was wondering if anyone is using the place at Naval Kadena for parts/tires. I've been there a few times, but I didn't really see much that I could use (I was looking for tires, etc...). I was able to pickup some pinons, but aside from that...

I may eventually pickup another kit (SC10FT?!) to have one truck running while the others waiting on parts!...(I'm only half joking...)

I would say most of the time ordering from the states, I've bought a couple cars at RCP and Siro (ok 10 at Siro). Mostly go there for parts/screws/fluids/paint when they have it in stock. The guys are really nice and knowledgeable...

Igy has dropped a few ichi-man yen there...there's our price...then Igy's price...

Just pick up a Slash instead. It will always run while you wait on replacement parts for your SC10 to arrive from the states.
All Joking aside,

Yes, we order most of our parts from the States. Just be VERY sure that you ALWAYS ship priority mail. If you go regular (Space A) mail, you are guaranteed to wait no less the 6 weeks to receive your item.

Priority from A-Main and Tower Hobbies will get herein 4-6 days.

Default Tires....

I'm going to try to be there, but I'm waiting on a set of tires - the one time I went to the track, I used up my stock rear tires...

Anyway, hopefully I get them in the mail today or tomorrow...

I'm hoping on between 09-1000 - based on weather of course...

So who is going to be available to bolt this thing together next week?

It should take only 1 maybe 2 days depending on how many we get to help...
