I teach there and he want this to happen for the community. This means the first race date will be the 23rd of March. While this sounds bad, its actually good as we have not finished the driver stand, and this gives us more time to work out the bugs. Transponder is looking very good, seller is proposing a price this week when partner returns from vacation! We have discussed setting up a test track, just to have every thing setup and working for a test run, and have a free practice day, we'll keep you informed! The entire race season will be posted once it gets the principals stamp of approval! Thanks for being patient!
I dont think anybody is worried at the moment about a driver's stand everybody pretty much bring's step stool's , but the test track sound's interesting..Let us all know the date for that and well be there..Thank's..

Default Driver Stand

I had thought about no driver stand, but with a 130' straight and the track being 50' deep, a driver stand seamed appropriate? We are looking at about a 3' high portable stand, just enough to give you a great view of the lanes.

Chris;

Have you had a chance to inspect the racing surface? Since no one has raced on it before, there may be an embedded layer of dust that could stand to be washed/hosed off (if possible) to provide the best traction. Spraying may not be an option as it is a schoolground right?
If you need some help getting the surface ready like on friday night before the race. Let us know and I'm sure some of us would be willing to help.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the offer, but we have run in the lot. Untreated, no dusting and the cars still hooked up pretty well. Race day I will use a blower, and treat the ground for traction. I think we will be HOOKED-UP! I will post the classes officially tonight on the web page

Hey Chris, sounds like you got a first class act coming together there. I would be proud to race at your track.

Default Whatch-it!!!

I see the trash talking has begun! You guys better watch it or I'll call up some ringers, and have them come down to spank some booty! Actually, I'll probably do that anyway, we need some sponsored guys for the expert classes.

Default Other Classes???

If you guys are interested in running other classes like 1/12, direct drive, etc. Let me know, I'll run anything but 1/8th & 1/5th (track cannot support it, maybe later).

Talking Not Worried

I'm not worried about the trash talking, that's part of the fun. I just don't want to see people crying when my buddies start woopin booty. Its horrible to see grown men cry...
