BEC connected to an RX8...why? On a Mamba Monster yes, because the voltage thrown from the ESC is too low for the servos. This is the second time I here this about an RX8. Please explain if possible.

The bec in the monster is just as good as that in the rx8. They both put out 6 volts to the servos and receiver. The external bec allows a full 7.4 volts to the servos. It also takes a little stress off of the esc and usually allows it to run a few degrees cooler. Just make sure that the servos and receiver are rated for high voltage use.
