Curtis,

Just dropping a line to tell you how impressed I was with the Horsepower you have given me. Onlookers were very impressed and boy, you armatures seem to be uber efficient as well. Got runtime easy with 7x1 std 5mm arm at 30 degrees timing!!! Sounded awesome and punched up the straights. Shame my setup was not great, otherwise I could've been quite high in our state titles on the weekend. Very Happy!! Also... should have the UL arms from you on Wednesday. That'll be fun!

Careful on that timing....... I think you might like it even more if you time it down and gear up.

I tried doing that and it didn't seem to be as.... enthusiastic. I'm going to try some other things as well as its all new to me still, but yeh, all good at the moment.

Well, I understand the feeling that it gives. Which usually means you are undergeared if you have to time it up a lot. Just a thought. How big is the straight away and overall track? What Final Drive you running? I might be able to give you some ideas.

Was running 9.48 and I don't know in meters or feet how big the straight was, but it is the entire length of the track. The pic gives an idea of the track that we were looking at.

Well..... judging by that photo the track looks to be 150+ foot straight. Now I am not sure what style can you are using but here is my recommendations........

V2.... 18 deg with about a 9.0 Final

Ti or Cobalt..... 18 deg with like an 8.5 Final

This is a rough estimate from the image, but should be a decent starting point. If the track is bigger then you will have to gear up even more. I wouldn't push the timing much beyond 20 deg for a 7 turn.
