Anyone test rotor strength on the hi torque rotor? Certified make a big difference? I saw something online for the 6 amp motor tuner guy nick Adams that tested one a awhile ago and it was 1540ish which is nothing compared to the 1650 tsr, fantom, and 1670-1690 motiv mc2. Hoping they've caught up by now

I don't remember off the top exactly but I did buy a Certified 12.5 rotor that Trinity wrote the strength down. I will check tonight and post back.

Somewhere around 15xx something though. Nothing crazy of 1600+

Ideal amp draw and timing for Maxilla Monster Horsepower 17.5 with a hi torque rotor?

Mine was set for me by a tuner around 3.5 amps and 46 degrees timing. Total dog. Very disappointed. Perhaps I need to gear way up as I was 69/29 on a tight hi bite track. Or turn amp draw up and get a fan.

anyone know the sweat spot timing, amp draw, and gearing wise? running 2wd 17.5 stock buggy. Thx!

Can you guys from Trinity help us out with some settings?

We run the Trinity Monster Horsepower 10.5 motor in a 1/10 Pro10 car with 2S lipo and on a large outdoor asfalt track. We are allowed to use boost timing and turbo if we want.
I have a Team Orion R10.1 esc.

Any ideas on how to setup the system? Rollout, motortiming, boost and or turbo?

The track has some high speed high flow corners and has medium to high grip. It's located in Rucphen in the Netherlands (MAC de Baanbrekers).

Thanks!!!

Ran them last week. Awesome. Ran stronger and cooler with less fade. Got a bunch in stock now. Finally a fast motor everyone can buy at a reasonable price.

Where are you starting out with timing on these motors? I picked up a 17.5 for TC and a 13.5 for 12th scale and they both seem to pull a ton of amps compared to earlier Trinity motors. They almost look like an R1 V7 when comparing timing to amp draw. Both were pulling around 9.5A @ 48 degrees. Is that normal for these motors?

Also, where are you guys starting out with gearing on these things? I'm running on a Snowbirds-sized track running grey carpet still. For TC I've been running around a 3.6, and 84mm rollout on the 12th scale with the 24k.

17.5 Set it for 3.8 amp draw on an analyzer and run it.

I'm not sure about 17.5 motors.

For 17.5 Im at 48 timing and 4.20fdr. For 13.5 12th scale 46-48 timing and 82mm rollout. About the same size track as snowbirds but deeper. Never get hotter than 140F

EA any idea what kind of rotor strength you're seeing out of them now? They claim to be "new & stronger"?

Default New Rotor

Trinity and ReVtech Motors discussion-img_3740.jpg

Here's the one I just grabbed +1630 -1620 Rotor.

Will try it in a new max and let you know.

Just on the bench it definitely has a ton of rip and the numbers on the analyzer were quite a bit better than the stock Rotor.

Monster max (tep1506) 17.5t - Offroad, 2wd buggy, blinky tekin rs, med grip, med/large tracks, b6d, slipper eliminator.

Please recommend a starting FDR & Timing. I'll tune from there. Got a couple of big meets in the next week's if you guys can get me in the ballpark. Would be much appreciated.

What would be a good starting point on gearing and timing on a Monster Max 13.5, running touringcar on a small-medium carpet track
