Yeah matched are better, long runtime,higher voltage lower IR but I just don't think it would that is cost effecient for a starter box but if you want THE BEST 
for your box pick up a pair of Pro Match matched packs to make sure the box is doing all it can do.

But fro real ran some Promatch 1.18+ last night @ SoCal and the batteries where awsome....Now my driving wasn't but the power was there if I ever got my act together.
Great packs. Look forward to HotRod's in two weeks.

thanks for your advice with the packs. one more question, with these high end matched packs, they are pushing higher voltage. will this make the batteries die faster? i mean, will they work super great at first, but after some starts the battery gets drained faster. thanks in advance.

The the voltage level isn't gonna make them dump any faster. It depends how much load you put on them. The only thing the higher voltage will do is spin your starter wheel faster.

the load i will be putting on them is to turn over .12 engines. so they should last a long time on one charge? right? thanks for all your help.

I really can't tell you how long they would last, They are matched for use in cars so a starter box...who knows.

Got my ProMatch matched pack for the Mini-T just in time for this Saturday's race - 1st time out with these batteries, TQ and 1st Place A-Main... They got stronger every run - can't wait till the next race!
(been running PM in my 1/10 scale stuff, this was first time for PM power in the Mini-T)
