I won the New Zealand 12th scale title this year but was only second in touring mod. I missed on winning by 0.4 sec as we use time here not points. If we had used points I would have won because I won two of the three finals. I was using the BMI TC4. Good to hear that you guys are doing well although what is Toni doing not running the BMI TC4.
Snowbirds, I would absolutely love to but I am still paying for the trip last year to worlds. I think my partner would divorce me if I went to the States again this year.

TimXLB... the PM message was meant for protc3. Although I to am thinking seriously about the lower cg mods. Because we run out doors all the time on unpreparred surfaces I think it may work really well. But I will wait for John BUll and others to do a little testing first before I look at it.

Default Yea..if a low cg mod car won't work for carpet....

then forget it. I sure do like the idea of it. I would like to run less camber and have faster corner speed.

I can't imagine BMI making a chassis for TC companies that change their chassis design every 4-6 months. Just my two cents.

Default 12th BMI damper tube

Hi

currently running the 12th conversion and have it setup with Ass damper discs. I have the damper/straw tube motor top plate but not the tubes/straws.

which make tubes/straws would you suggest I buy as there are a few out there?

Also, anyone know if there are any lowered motor pod plates oher than those with the conversion? website only shows pic of conversion

jason is putting the finishing touches on the lowered bulkheads. If you go to the 1/12 or the bmi 1/12 there are some pics. we should see them back next week. I would call and get an order in if you want some.

Thanks dude,

I look forward to hearing from you.

Question, Can the new motor mount be used with both thicknesses of chassis or are there seperate motor mounts for each thickness.
Would I be able to use the 3mm chassis with the thinner top deck and new motor mount if I wanted to.

Are the chassis coming with the centre support now or are they extra. I made one up for my current chassis and found since I have done that I have not stripped any spur gears.

Cheers
Darren

Default Fatbear...

you can use whatever thickness you want with the TC4 BMI. You can use the 2.5 or 3mm upper deck on a 3mm chassis. The new motor mount and 3mm chassis won't strip gears. In fact, with a 3mm upper deck and chassis little to no flex. It should work great for carpet.

Default TC4 Motor Mount

Does anyone have details of the BMI Motor Mount for the TC4? My BMI uses the stock TC4 mount and its slower having to either loosen the top deck or remove the mount through the bottom of the chassis when you want to pull the motor - we sometimes have super fast race turnarounds due to lighting curfews, and sometimes every second counts, and the motor mount on my old BMI TC3 was great.

So is there something similar for the TC4? I tried the BMI web site with no luck.
