Default Stockon Race

Ok, I'm getting a little antsy and since some of you guys brought it up. I might go up to race/watch. My question is, Matt Howard, James Arluck, RCzombie and all those NorCal friends, any of you willing to take me drinking afterward?

Dan

I've heard some buzz about the Rayspeed discharger. What's so special about that one over my Trinity Realtime 2. Other than the obvious, the Rayspeed is not made by big t?

Does the realtime cut off at .90v per cell. I think it takes them down to 0v like most of the others.

The Trinity realtime? It takes them down to zero as far as I know. Least thats what I always thought.

I have a realtimee 2 tray. I just remove packs when the lights go out.Thats what it says right on the tray itself not really sure if it has a specific cut off.seeing that there is lights bulbs and a fan the tray will probably just drain batteries until the power is not sufficient enough to run the fan ,Who knows what that is.

sns - realtime2 takes the cells down to zero, it is a pure resistor equalizer. You want to take the cells off when the bulbs go out for GP cells, unless you want to deadshort the cells.

Does the Pro Match Racing Smart Tray 2 have auto cut off? It doesnt look like it does. All I see on it are diodes and resistors.

IMO the Rayspeed discharger is the best out there right now. It's adjustable from a 5 amp to 1 amp discharge and the cutoff is adjustable from .9 per cell to .1 per cell

I got one of the Rayspeed Dischargers at Snowbirds. What I have noticed is that when I was charging my packs down there, when I did not deadshort them I was getting anywhere from 3750MAH to 3995MAH. My deadshorted cells get usually 3600MAH - 3700MAH. It didn't matter if it was the first charge or the second Charge. I now equalize all my packs before the first charge and the second charge for the day. If I want to deadshort them then I throw them on my Integy discharger that takes them down to 0.

Before I would take my cells down till my Integy Disharger Bulbs would go out and then I would charge them for the first charge of the day. After the Run I would take it down to 5.4volts on my GFX and charge them a second time. That way I was getting about 3500MAH on the first Charge and about 3300-3400MAH on the second Charge

I don't think that would be a problem I have to drive back friday after practice for my daughters birthday but I'll probably get a hotel room with a couple friends for saturday night. I'll let you know where we're staying so you can stay there too
