I am starting up in 1/12 racing. Going to go with Xerun 120amp 1s but have been told to go with the LRP x12 10.5 (our class is 10.5) but I would really like to try out the Team Orion Vortex 10.5 - use one software for x12 and another for less strong magnetic rotor. So my question would be are the 10.5 pretty similar or is there a big difference between them?

I just got an Orion Twin charger and had a couple of questions. First why is it that setting 2s LiPo doesn't allow a discharge rate above 8.3a? 1s of the same or even less mah rating allows me to set a discharge rate up to the max of 10a. Also I noticed while charging or discharging the amp rate will go to 0.00a for a short time...is this normal? If so what is it doing? Also I have a 220Mah RX pack to charge but the charger settings are 200Mah and 300Mah...which should I use to get a full charge?

Is Orion dead?? I forgot my pit light a few weeks ago and the only ones in he hobby shop were like 90-100 dollars for an l.e.d. light
wtf? so i picked the Orion cuz it had a ac-plug $100 .right off the bat the extension cord did not work at all and after using2 times the plastic cover on the non light side came unglued
what a joke 100 dollar made in china light with a fancy ORION STICKER ON IT!!!! hope you guys are giving each other x-mass bonuses with all the money your stealing from this hobby!

So I have a Team Orion Vortex esc #ORI65005 and just got the programmer box for it from AMain. Opened the programer up and plugged in the esc to bottom port as instructions state with a lipo attached for power. Programer turns on and thats it. Does nothing else but say "Team Orion Programmer box." Wont do anything. I've turned the switch around in various ways and on/off with even different batteries. Nothing.
So is the Team Orion Vortex esc not compatiable with this thing? Programmer is ORI65020. THought this was the right one for it? No?

That box is for the newer Vortex stuff. The ESC you have was based off the KO Propo VFS-1 ESC. I believe their programming module is what is used to program this ESC (http://www.kopropo.co.jp/sys_en/archives/ics). Actually a very capable ESC but the stock maps are not the greatest. When set up with a linear program it is a very smooth ESC.

yeah, kinda figured as much after it didnt work. Orions websight says it works with any "Vortex" esc. They should really change it. I was just hoping maybe they came out with thier own setting box so I didnt have to pay $71 for the VFS one. Just makes me want to sell the esc because it's old anyways and the adapter is the cost of the esc used.
