Anyone know when Reedy is going to come out with newer/better versions of their 800z and 1000z ESC's? I ask because these versions are notorious for being defective.

Probably not the best way to request information on a Team thread. Also from the forum rules..

if you have an issue with either esc, I'm sure we can get you right...I have them both as well as the 600...and never had an issue...pm if needed

Yeah unfortunately I already sent it in once to be fixed for the button and it broke again the very next time i tried to configure the esc. I'm not interested in sending it back and forth. I want mid level esc from reedy that doesn't have issues with buttons and drag break.

they have a trade in program, it would probably make switching to the 510R less painful.

That sounds reasonable.

The FSEARA will be using Reedy as the handout motor on the state series this year. This 17.5 will be equal to what the 21.5 timed motor was and will be used in place of that class this year. It will be used in combination with a fixed gear ratio for each track. This has generated a lot of excitement and I know that I, as well as many others are really looking forward to this leveled playing field. The series leadership has decided they will hold the motors and rent them out for $5 per race. Mr. Steven McNichols has stepped up BIG TIME and agreed to pay the rental cost for every racer in this class for the first race at Valkaria R/C. This series has been the originator of many "firsts" in the ideas of handouts and spec tires too....looking forward to this new chapter. FSEARA.....since 1980 and it's the longest continuous running series in the U.S.

Thank you Reedy for helping make this possible!

Team, any ideas on a starting point for Reedy S-Plus in 4wd 17.5?

Our track is a replica of Cactus Classis 2013, lap times are about 27/28 secs.

Thanks in Advance.

I don't see a big difference unless you are in a rush, then the 40 amps comes into play...but a lot of races are tech lipo temp too... so the Reedy Powered charger will clear every time with no worries. Ive won multiple championships and made numerous podiums with my Reedy on the table
