It's hard to believe summer is over and we're heading into the
Labor Day week-end! For those of you racing this week-end, good
luck and have fun!! If you're traveling for a "mini" vacation, have
a safe trip! We plan on just becoming couch potatoes and a little
yard work!!
Although NASCAR is in town, and I would bet BanzaiScott will be
making an appearance out there!
Also, college football starts on Saturday, got to root for my Ranked #1
BUCKEYES!!!!!!

Banzai had a great showing down in San Diego today at the End of Summer Slam.
Ryan Dunford took the very competative exp stock buggy class with a win proving you can't beat Banzai/Slingshot power.
He also took 3rd in Mod truck in one of the largest classes at the event.
Casper (myself) TQ'd and won the Stk truck class. My banzai/slingshot power never faded over the 6 min main which allowed me to hold off the rest of the field.
I also took 4th in exp stk buggy after some tough luck with turn marshals.
Keith Whisler (slingshot batteries fame) had a great run in stk truck. After a rough time in qualifying Keith worked hard up through the field and got 3rd after starting in the back. Thanks for the great batteries to run this weekend Keith!
It was good event down there. Track is small but held up well and there were some big names attending this, first big race under for the new owners at Family hobbies.

Casper - My C027 is stil running well with those brushes you gave me...do they make serrated 766's?? Also, what do you think was the deal with the first pair of brushes??

Nutfluff, it's possible to get a bad brush out of any batch
of brushes. That's why we test all the batches, is it a bad batch,
or is it just a bad brush. Which happens once in a while.

I think that was just one bad brush. I ran some more of those 767 this weekend and they ran great! Not sure if a hung brush or something else may have caused that brush to loose conductivity but the rest of the batch has been running well so far for me.
Judi does sell the serrated 766 brushes if you need more.

At the time of signups, I didn't know there was stock buggy, and expert stock buggy :/. So I got put in the regular class, and ended up TQing and winning by over half a lap. They asked if I wanted to start at the back of expert (I would have qualified 4th...) so I ran expert, just trying not to step on any toes. I ended up breaking, ball post broke off on the last double, it was probably close to breaking and I hadn't noticed.
For truck, I qualified 3rd, but just kept getting pushed further and further back between crashing, traffic, and getting hacked. I think I got like 6th or so. My car pushed much more than it did in the first race that I qualified with.
