Anyway, just to update, I stripped the small nut that is in the front ball differential from overtightening the long screw. Got a front one way temporarily. Will get replacement screws for that part soon as I can.

Also thinking of getting Kanzen Ceramic Balls for the Front and Rear Ball Differentials. From what I read in the US forums, it's highly recommended.
Will probably get replacement bearing set from Kanzen also. Let me know if any of you have better suggestion? Thanks.

Tested the front one way yesterday.
Wah. Fast!
But have to perform jumps more carefully. I used to anyhow do jumps cos I know I can just tap brake to make the buggy land on all wheels. But with front one way its different. Cos after you jump and angle abit backwards, you cannot tip back forward with a front one way. So, you'll find your buggy landing on its back quite often unless you do jumps differently.

Tried a few times and realise can still jump nicely but have to let go throttle halfway up the ramp. So you can go super fast up the ramp, but just before your buggy takes off from the ramp, let go of throttle.

Maybe some of you already do it correctly.
So this is for the newbies, like me. Heheh.

Got my 3mm ceramic diff balls and ceramic bearings from Kanzen in France. They say Free shipping but probably included in price.

And while changing the diff balls, I realised that one of my wheels inside kenna eaten up by the hex pin. Read somewhere that I can use Hotbodies Cyclone D4 wheels and hex with abit of trimming down.

Guess a trip to Taising is in order.

Oi! Where are my other fellow TRF501x kakis?
Let's play together leh!

hi all 501x owners,

i've a question here. i don't have a 501 but i would like to know whether part X5 and X6 will fit into both ends of a regular tamiya CVA plastic shock as indicated in the blue and green lines on the pic.

if you guys don't mind trying it for me so that i won't end up buying the wrong stuff

thanks a lot!

I think chassis kit alone is either S$600+ or S$700+
Does not come with any electronics or motor. No tires also.

You can consider buying the Hotbodies Cyclone D4 from Seadoo.
Also a carbon fibre and aluminium EP buggy chassis.
Parts easy to get at Taising also.
Scroll back a few pages and pm him.
Think he's selling at nice price.
