Thanks for repling so quickly lookinco.

I have found out that I have the v6.0 chip (according to my lcd display). So from my understanding I have to set the cell capacity to above 3800 in the setup to achieve a full charge, is this correct? (I have just registered with the 'ticket system' so hopefully Integy won't take too long to send the chip out to me).

Default updated info on my charger

I am currently getting approx. 3750+mah from a charge with the cells peaking at a temp around 115'F. I have the charger setup as follows:

1.)cell number=6
2.)battery capacity=3800
3.)phase1=6.0a
4.)phase2=5.0a
5.)phase3= 7.0a
6.)discharged=30a
7.)peak adj.=5mV/c to 30mV
8.)lock out= 500mah
9.)charge temp.=128'F

I have watched it charge a pack and it goes through all of the 3 phases fine. I am concerned that I am not getting a fully charged pack (due to temp and mah capacity).

Discharging the pack (30a):
2900+mah
approx 5:55 - 6:30min
avg volts 6.6

Should I be concerned? or do I have to adjust the peak cutoff value from 5m/v per cell to a higher value?

Anyone???? Can anyone provide any helpful advice???

Like many chargers out there, you need to set the mAh setting to like 4300 or 4400 with new IB cells. New IB packs consistently go to 4200+ on almost any charger.

don't get me started.

i did use the help desk, as hobbipro had advised. the process was fairly easy and the turnaround was about two weeks. the only problem is that they fixed my lcd screen, and disregarded my claims that it won't discharge because the "charger's too hot". apparently, it went back out untested.

by the way, since integy will fix it for free (again), i'll sell it for $100 and the buyer can go through the help desk this time. drop me an email.

oh yeah, the charger may emit a light scent of urine. i'm sure it will go away over time.

All is good!!! One happy little camper now!!!

With the new chip installed (v6.2), all the issues people have mentioned on this thread seem to have gone (input voltage problems, not fully charging packs). I might also add that Integy responded to my question /email within 2 days and had the chip sent out to me within 7 days (to Australia!!!). So as far as customer service is concerned, they are pretty good.

Also, the V6.2 chip now allows the user to manually adjust the mah capacity of each step and the thermal cut off for each step (which you couldn't do previously). Everything else seems to be the same.

One very happy customer now!!!

Default New v6.2 chip

Well this isnt a free upgrade like the 6.1 chip was. It costs about $25 to get the new chip. Not sure if its worth it though.

I certainly didn't pay anything for the chip.
