I think most of us here would agree that anyone considering racing 1/12 modified already owns a 1/12 car that uses a 1s LiPo, so switching to 2s would be a hindrance to their participation.

Benny Hill and Monty Python were my fav's. Also a sitcom with 3 guys living together, one was a punker, one a long haired hippy, and the other normal. Can't remember the name of that show though, it was hilarious.

Yes TQ has the old gray carpet since 6 years.
I hope your right with the tire wear to be lower on the black carpet at the IIC, but for him this doesn't make any difference. He's only racing locally and TQ may not change the carpet soon.

Difference of new black rug to TQRC O'L gray, is night and day

TQ is nearly like asphalt now

We had to run JS front and XS reas to keep the tires from glasig after a couple laps. Hopefully it gets better when temperatures drop to mid to high 70 and the gates are closed.
We'll use the track as chassis dyno this weekend to get a good base setup for the motor.

We may should allow to run 1S and 2S in the class for a year as a grace period.
After that we could go to 2S the only. I think that is usual upgrade cycle for the most people anyway.
The spec tires should be only applicable for big events, like in TC.
Lot of the SoCal tracks have open tires for TC during club races and Spec Tires during big events. I don't see why this couldn't applicable for Foam classes.

Right now we are just tossing out ideas and proposing what should be changed. Let's get those ideas to the track and see what works and doesn't work before proposing a solution. Just my 2 cents and an avatar for hanulec.

Looks like mod 1/12 has a chance to be the biggest pan car class at the IIC since the 6.5 announcement!?!? I'd say the masses have spoken!! Hard to argue with the numbers and entry fees that support these big races!! Great work on bringing back mod from the near dead. Great to see!!

It's one race, and it hasn't even taken place yet. Not enough data to make a conclusion yet.

Default Speedo

Hello,

Will start building a Roche P12 soon for my son. I'd like to put a Hw speedo in it, but would you recommend a 2s version with the laje booster or the new 1s version?

Thx,

David
