theres a few new improvements in this new car the 705 so to put your pro like a 705 is going to cost you so my very first advice to you is try to set-up your car like a 705 to see if you have good results there,, because the way they make the set up now is really diferent like they use to do it with the pro and the impulse, so don't give up it's a nice car you have there!!

Bleed, Bleed, Bleed, until all the bubbles go away, then close it, don't worry if they are aluminum body's ,, in MY TSN they said that these shocks are to run in tracks that are extremely hot surfaces so the don't loose its consistency,,

Hollow shaft on the 705? Is that for the mid bearing block (808253) or is it for the 2 speed shaft?

Saw his car, the hollow shaft is for the mid bearing block.

Wonder where he get that and where i can get one.
I should have the same weight as him (3lb 12oz) if i had that install on mine, juz 2oz higher.

Yes, the PRO is still competitive. Does the PRO that you got have Centax clutch on it?

Most parts are common to the 705. The 705 includes the upper deck (801190), chassis (801185), X brace (upper deck support) (801196), roll over bar (801123), fuel tank (801155) with associated accessories, battery holder (801171), front shock tower spacer (801117), new styled front pulleys and pully mountings (2 x 808265, 808225, 808261), new middle shaft (902252), rear bulkheads (bearing blocks) (801331, 801332), rear sway bar set (808337), brake plate (801342), new styled brake pulley + adapter (9616, 909248) and 18T side pulley + adapter (808260 + 808265), lowered engine mounts (801151), Centax II clutch + 35 mm smaller flywheel (909510 + 6581), new lightened 2 speed gearbox + new 2 speed shaft (902410 + 801415), rear ball diff + 46T + rear driveshafts (801430 + 6357 + 801323) and carbon graphite left + right side stiffeners (801192 + 801194), new keyed shockabsorber set (909440), new spring set (yellow 901415) and not forgetting the new purple sealed ball bearings. These are the parts that you need to upgrade it to 705 specs.

Serpent has a package for an upgrade kit (801182) for the PRO to convert it to 705 but I think it is still incomplete. I don't think there is a Centax II or the new lightened 2 speed gearbox. Try and shoot an email to rccarinternational. They have the upgrade kit to 705 but it is expensive. Serpent's site does not have any information on this yet. Don't know why. If you didn't have the PRO in the first place, then I say get the 705 straight away.

As for the Centax II clutch, the flyweights are different from Centax I. Then again, you could modify it the same like the Centax II. We have been using the modification long before 705 or the Centax II was announced. It provides better punch with the new styled flyweights. Look here for the modification;

The more horizontal the shock mounting, the more progressive the shock becomes. This makes the car have more roll on the end where the shock is mounted which means more traction on that end where the shock is mounted more horizontally.

When the shocks are mounted more vertical, they are more direct and they make the shocks harder.

What do you mean when you say drill a hole in the cap fr the bladder to move freely?

One of the tricks I have read on mytsn by Mark Green (UK Serpent driver) is to bleed the shock using all 4 holes i.e. repeat the bleeding steps when the shock is in hole 1, 2, 3 and 4.

I always prefer to use aluminum shock bodies in front not because of performance but because they are more reliable. The plastic shokc bodies can break upon hard impact. The aluminum ones are impossible to crack. The front end always takes the abuse first if any.

in four years i have only broken one body, but probably 5 shafts, just my exp,

gs makes a 1/10th o ring bladder set, the badder is larger than the serp ones, and a thicjer, they are harder to put together but will not tear or come apart nearly as easy, no website i know of, the company is general silicone,

the cap i am talking about the part that clicks onto the tower, goes under the aluminum, i drill a small hole through it to enable the bladder freer movement.......

I purchased a 2speed shaft for my 705. A guy down here in Texas is having them made out of titanium. The shaft weighs almost half the weight less than the stock 2 speed shaft.
