Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8702 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “A” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “C” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B – HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 – Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 – Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 – Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 – Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 – Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Use steering stops/limiter washers... more info here.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Hinge Pin Insert Chart:

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

I went to adjust my anti squat tonight and I am not understanding correctly how to do this. On the set up sheet in the back of the manual I believe it says its 3* if you build according to the reference pictures on page 7 which I did. What I dont understand is the pictures on the bottom of the set up sheet. There are 7 different dot positions and for example two different positions will both yield 1* Can someone chime in and straighten me out here. I want to reduce the rear squat from stock

If you want 1 deg of antisquat, on the c block, u want your pill all the way to the bottom and d block all the way to the top. Left and right of center will affect the toe away from 3 deg. It looks like 4 pills will give you this. The rest is deciding how much rear toe you want.

Thank you. Still not fully understanding the pictures in the book though. For instance in the set up sheet the pill box on the bottom right shows 2 dots one on bottom middle and one on bottom left. There are also 2 arrows first shows one pointing straight down and says 1* and the other points to the left and says .5* What would that mean ?

Ok so I'm at the shock build page and stuck. It states that "vented" is preferred stock build and the arrow points to the middle of the cap, do I drill all the way through the middle of the cap to essentially where the mounting screw will be?. Is this correct, or do I drill the hole coming out at a 45 degree angle with a 1 mm drill bit? Sorry, I haven't built many shocks.

Yes drill the 45 deg hole out to the inside of the cap.

Just ran mine for the first time last night on high bite sugar track. Way more stable than my old 410. Truck went together really fast. No issues. Great quality. Great job Tekno!

I raced for the first time on indoor this last Friday and had a really good time. My take is the tires and the set up is extremely critical. I made a few small adjustments and the truck felt great. Had some Losi guys drive it and they thought it was faster than their SCTE, but they are just great drivers. I have been very pleased considering how horribly I have wrecked this truck and its still a champ!

What differences would there be for a midsize indoor clay with high traction?

Say you leave the c block centered (0 offset). You install the bottom right-most pill on the right half of the d block. You will decrease your rear toe by 0.5 degs (2.5 deg). You will increase your anti-squat by 1 deg (4 deg).

The pills with the dot in the middle will only change the antisquat. Using one with a dot set off to the side will also change the rear toe. So a pill that lines up like this [l] will change antisquat. One lined up like this [\] will change antisquat and rear toe. One lined up like this [-] will change toe. To change toe, just change the dots on the horizontal plane.

Hello peeps,I would like to get opinions on which rims fit the .3 best with little rubbing issues on front steering...My cyclone SCTE rims rub steering very badly full right and left..I can limit my right and left travel, but looks like I will loose quite a bit of steering...Any thoughts?

Thanks
