But look at it this way. The 22-4 which over the last 2 years arguably has been probably the best 4wd buggy in most of the major races. And it is what? That's right belted....
After owning virually every shaft driven 4wd on the market I would take a belt car over any of the all day long. I love the smoother power deliver of the belts plus I find they are less mainteance as you aren't wearing out drive cups and shafts all the time.

Harleys are belt driven

I saw that, as a gent on te Yokomo YZ2/YZ4 Facebook page posted a picture of Hara and Mayfeild wearing their Yokomo sweatshirts. Exciting to have Mayfeild as your correct he will develop Epic set ups for our US tracks. Also excellent that Hara is with Yokomo as he is a legend.

What are the option parts people are running on their cars for an outdoor set up?

Narrow rear belt and aluminum pulleys, alum 2 piece zero offset rear hubs, with 66.5mm CVD's, if running mod motor then the triple slipper is great, LMR or Bezerk supra flex top deck, aluminum center link and aluminum bellcranks per the steering. Aluminum front left and right camber blocks. Flat F5 +1 front a arms CF front and rear shock towers, dump the front clicker. S4 rear rear and rear front aluminum or steel rear a arm hangers. BRC front skid bumper.

Definetly yes! I would put the rear roe rear belt and pulleys on as well as scraping the front clicker and removing the top front belt tensioner. Those minor changes will be perfa for 13.5. One can always add more options later if wanted.

Yes, but I would definitely get the narrow rear belt and loosen tensioner completely. The stock belt will probably be too stiff for a 13.5 and you'll get too much resistance. I'm running a 78/29 at my track but it's a medium to low grip outdoor.

The ONLY reason most bikes use chains and some belts is because it's cheap. Using a driveshaft requires extra parts and introduces a bit more complexity which is counter to many practicalities of motorcycles.
The reason cars do not use belts is because they simply weigh too much for a belt to handle the loads for long before snapping. They are utilized in key areas where the stresses aren't greater than they can handle without sacrificing durability. Chains would be the alternative but with driveshafts being so proven in all areas, it's not practical to run chains with hundreds of parts, any of which might fail far more easily than a driveshaft.
