Definitely. 419 is uncomparable with 419x/ws/xr.....
Go for the most recent car as early as you can.

I race indoor 13.5 boosted class.

I can't justify the cost of a new x or xr kit but if a second hand one comes up at a good price I might consider it.

I have the XR conversion and updated my car with the front and rear bulkheads and servo mount on the WS Aluminium chassis. I did not install the motor mount, since the WS chassis does not have the additional optional holes.. (although I know it would work)

I raced the car that weekend in USGT at our club race and placed 1st, out of a field of 9.. my first 1st place win in a full field.. so I was very happy. I can’t say I noticed much difference as a result of the bulkheads and sway bars.. but they are nice to have.

The biggest change for me was when I changed to the WS chassis.. my 419 became a formidable machine

I am in the middle of doing conversion from X to XR. New motor mount and pulley is better -> less wobble, bigger bearing. It is also worth to mention that manual shows to mount diff and spool in lower position - opposite to the original 419x manual.

Next week local racing meeting so I will report how it will perform.

Guys can somebody help me getting my fdr to 5.

I'm going to give blinky racing a try but am unsure what pinion spur combo will fit.

I want to run 64dp

I was hoping to run a
108 spur and 40 pinion bit not sure if itl fit.

Car is a 419

Same setup here ! No difference between 419 or 419x, same internal ratio (1.85€. 100/37 might work also but i recommend 111/41.
