The front geometry of the car looks the same as the old MTX-2 so there is no problem with tyres fitting. Its great to see they have thrown in Foam tyres, lets just hope the price of the car doesn't skyrocket (even if it does Im a RC junkie and still would get it )
Hmm the MTX-2 Pro was pretty expensive. Now you get graphite towers, 2 shoe 2-speed, vented disk, teflon pads.............

One thing I'm not sure about is the tank. The shape is pretty odd. Hope there won't be any fuel delivery problems.

As for being a junkie, so am I, but remember your kids have to eat.

What's with this? Another Serpent Impulse front wheel deal?
I believe mugen make a special adaptor other then the common standard wheel adaptor.

Uuuuuuuugh!!! This is that quick release deal they had for the MTX-2 isn't it? Large hole instead of a standard metric threaded axle.

Hmmm gotta go ask.

If this is the case, I think Mugen have shot themselves in the foot. Why change this....It looks like they are turning into 1/8th with different wheels for different cars.

Besides, I think GRP would of released something by now if there was a 'special' FAST wheel exculsively for the MTX-3.

Looking at the CAD drawings, the wheel hubs look standard.

Default tires

yes this is a drag!

Tire w/wheel will be released by GRP Fast tire brand
specially for MTX-3. *Other tires can not be used.

I also think it will be a problem. A single supplier for tires is not good. Afte a while the afermarket started building rims that would work for the Serpent cars, but it was difficult getting rubber at times before that happened.

guess we will have to take a wait and see approach to this.

by the looks of the cad drawings the hex's are the same.
hope so as we run rubber tyres and would be a shame to throw them away
Do you think they could be talking just about a new quick release and wheels for that?

I guess we can always count on Kawahara to make an adapter to fix that for a minor fee

What a scamm !! thats really disapointing

They must think the car is that great that people will overlook something as annoying as tyre choice ??

Come to think of it I'll most likely buy one anyway

but still that is very arrogant

yea, i'm kinda ticked I just bought a ProSpec, but someone said it won't come out till next year, so at least I have 3 months with my MTX-2.

I wouldn't be worried about tire choice, just people who went out and just spent $500 on tires. All those tires will now go to waste!

I believe the new Mugen looks very similar in layout to the V1R. Whats with that?????????? Are we going to see the next manufacturer copy AE and build another shaft drive car.
