Track was perfect just now so I did my first shakedown run.



This car is so good guys, bravo. It lands and sticks like a wet rag, corners like a boss and is silky smooth quiet. I feel like it's hardly working out there and it feels so nice to drive. I can't WAIT til next weekend to run it on some clay and see what it can do! I always loved my 2.0 but this is next level awesomesauce.

Did you run kit setup. What shock oils did you run?

Yep, I always start with the kit setup and it is pretty good. Our track is loose right now, but it felt really planted. Only thing I did different was diff fluid, 5-5-3. 37.5/35 for shock oil, kit pistons. For next weekend I might end up a little heavier up front, but I'm going to run it as is and see.

Ok I finished mine and ran it on my track which is loose without water and the car was real good with the kit set up. I'm real impressed and this is my new favorite car.

First let me start off by saying that my scte 2.0 and nitro 3.0 are MONEY and I love those 2 cars!! I ran my E 3.0 for the first time today with the kit setup except for diffs which i tried 5,7,2 5,7,5 and 5,5,3.

I have very high expectations for this buggy as my nitro buggy is so good but my experience with this buggy today just has me shacking my head with disappointment. I threw everything but the kitchen sink at it today and nothing seemed to matter. Buggy did not handle the rough stuff well at all and rear end would not stay planted at all.

If someone comes up with a good setup for outdoor rough tracks that are loose please share as this is the type of track I run on most of the time. I will continue to work on my setup but for now I am at a lose.

After looking at Dakota's setup from LRCR I am going to change a few things and go back to the track Monday and do some testing.

Does anybody know what piston Dakota used the setup sheet says it's a tapered piston. Something prototype that Losi is testing?

Well my RX8 let out the genie. On the bench, so no track time for me.
I have a lot of Orion R10 Pros in my 1/10 scales, but don't like the Orion 8. Cost is not an Issue .

Other than Tekin what are some of the Best Options for my E Buggy. .... Thanks for input.

I gave the Orion's a shot over the last 6 months in my 8's (8 2.0 & 3.0 conversions and 2.0 truggy). I was not overly impressed. Tuning with the box was the high point. I put a Tekin RX8 gen 2 in my new 8e 3.0. I can't remember why I stopped using Tekin now. I would stick with Tekin. I never had any issues with the ones I owned, but anyone that I have heard of having problems was taken care of by Randy and the service department at Tekin. I like the fact that Tekin post the setups of their team drivers on their website and from my understanding they will be releasing and android app for adjusting the esc's any time now.

My vote is Tekin

I have my kit ordered and it should be here tues. Did the kit come with wire? That long stretch looks like I will have to replace my wire. Can someone measure how long the motor leads need to be?
