I have done tests charging with and without fans with my LRP Pulsar and GP3700s. My conclusions form multiple tests was that I get better results when charging, and higher numbers when discharging it. Also a average slightly higher voltage.

You said you concluded better results charging and discharging.. but you didnt say if those better results were with the fan on or off!

Has anyone tried charging IB4200's at stupid amp settings yet?
I charge mine at 7A on my Millenium Pro without any problems, I need the extra grunt as I race stock.

Has anyone ever had an ICC crash, and go all blank screen on them. Has done it twice today, not cool!

Also the hype was all this computer interface etc, yet I aint seen a software update for the ICC in ages, are we going to see some decent functionality soon?

Right now I have a decent charger, yes, a lousy discharger, no lipo function, a Computer port that appears to be for show, so much potential so under utilised.

Just curious >>>What are your overall thoughts on the unit?? I just sold one of my GFX's to purchase one of these.. Ive yet to launch the order cause I read of troubles here and there... I dont car about lipo charging..and I use a Muchmore cdx-dv2 to do discharging with.. So it begs the question is the actual charging function good on this unit>>> what about peak detects and temp settings for WC4200's?? Some of these posts make me nervous about dropping the coin into this unit... I love the idea of individual cell charging capabilities.. I think its an idea long overdue.. but I dont want to be a guine pig/ r&d specialist for spintec..

Also I see the freaking interface cable is backordered untill november..What BS.. How hard is it to get cables.. I definately think I will wait on this one.. Knowing my luck Ill buy a unit and it will be useless for 2 months while I wait on a cable to come off backorder.. IMHO the thing should have just COME WITH THE CABLE.. Especially since the continue to tweak the program.. the cable is a necessity..

I have had one problem with mine. The battery post are soldered on the PCB. I had one of those come loose. I resoldered it and no problems.

The track owner has had 3 fail. The last one he pluged it in and it failed.

Two of my friends who have the ICC also had the charger "let the smoke out" while charging 4-cell packs. Both of them fried around the 4th charge. One happened this past weekend and the other a few days before that.

I'm not sure why it should matter how many cells are being charged since this is supposed to do each cell individually. Sounds like some voltage regulator or something get overloaded when there are less than 6-cells, however. But, I am far from an EE, so I'm just talking out of a hole in my head.

My limited understanding of how it works is that when charging 4 cells the other 2 chargers for cell 5 and 6 are trying to charge.. That was why the units got hotter when charging 4 cell versus 6 cell..

The one that failed the other day he said it was 6 cell. But he just plugged it in.

A few weeks ago I thought he told you 3. So is that a 4th one? Dunno. I shouldnt butt in.

I read somewhere MuchMore was maybe coming out with a individual cell charger. Is that true? Where could I find info on that?

Oops I found better results when using the fan. I now use it whenever I charge my batteries.

No he said 2 a few weeks ago. It is a total of 3 now.

MuchMore makes some very nice stuff. I have not heard of one from them. but if they do make one. Expect a high price. ha! like this unit wasn't!

It's a great charger let down by sloppy support, I don't feel comfortable charging my IB4200's at 6 Amps in case one vents (at least on an external charger like the ICE, all you do is mess up a desk, on this thing, well, you can imagine!) Software updates have been slow if non existant, it was sold on the basis of being interactive, log your cell charges on the PC etc etc, but right now it can't even do LiPo, the cable is Com port based, not even USB (try finding a laptop new with a Com Port now, try again) and costs a small fortune. The fact is Spintec have an awesome product, but need to back it up a bit better, they don't reply to queries on forums such as this anymore, and email replies are too vague and non committal (yes we know you've had to up production, but that'll cease very quickly if you can't keep existing owners happy because we're the best source of promotion!)
