Is this right?

pulleys are
oneway 28, mid 18, side 24, side rear 18, break 19, rear diff 41.

When I put the 24 upfront on the side and the 18 in the rear on the side, the belt is way to loose. When I put the 24 up front and the 23 on the rear, it seems tight. but OK. Am I doing something wrong.

The 23 is for the front if you choose not to run the 24. Most people are running the 24. The kit belt is the wrong one. there is a different one that is supposed to be used. The part number is TO270.

Problem with reversing the rear body posts, is I am concerned about the rear camber link hitting the body post. As I had said, if you mount the body properly which requires trimming the foam bumper, you don't need to do anything with the rear body posts.

You can dremel the posts, but doing it the right way(cutting the bumper) you can avoid this. Also remember that moving the body that far forward, the car is going to handle a lot different than if it is back where it is supposed to be.

Thanks. Now everything is rolling smooth. Some how, I used the side-belt that was not to be used.

I dont have the correct belt on mine yet. I ran this past weekend and had no problems with skipping or coming off. The car rolls very freely with this belt on. I might just get the new one anr run the long one til it comes off.

You are not mounting the body "forward". You are centering it. By doing it the way I am talking about, you are centering the wheels right in the wheel wells.

By doing it your way, the wheels are partially behind the wheel wells.

What Scott is saying is that you should line up the wheel wells moulded into the front of the bodyshell and the front tyres. Doing this, the only way to get the body to come down properly will require cutting bits off the foam bumper. Then you get this :- http://3hobby.net/modules.php?name=c...lbum=116&pos=7

isn't that a stratus2 body? i have a stratus3 body and it's no problem. i posted a pic of it a few pages back (not a good paint job). i've heard people say something when using the mazda6 body, and that's the reason why i asked scott for a picture so it's clear how it works for those who plans to use the mazda6.

really cool paint job by the way (i signed up to your forum so i can see the blown up pic!).

What I was trying to say Scott is pretty much the same thing you said. With the wheel wells not centered, the body will be farther forward on the car. With cutting the bumper, you mount the body where it is supposed to be.
