I bought this Cyclone Front Solid Axle (Spool) for my Cyclone S
https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...ns&pn=HOT61045

But the stock Cyclone S dogbones don't push far enough into the spool outdrives.

Are there other parts I need to put a spool in my Cyclone S?

Thanks.

Default Driveline binding

I have a friend with a Cyclone TC, essentially new.

His driveline has a problem binding up somwhere. For about 1/2 a turn of the spur gear it is "free", then, for about 1/4 turn it is "stiff". This is of course with the pinion removed.

There is nothing visibly bent, nothing visibly rubbing, or out of alignment.

Disconnecting the front drive belt shows that the binding is somewhere in the spur to rear area. The rear diff seems "normal".

Any suggestions on how to further diagnose and solve the problem. With the resistance in his driveline, it's like he's running with a drag brake enabled all the time.

Thanks.

Try realigning the pulley on the centre shaft, it may be binding on the middle deck.

Check to make sure there a no small rocks or debry (sp) in the pulleys (center and diff pulleys).

The small foam pieces that go into your outdrives for the stock diffs should be placed in the outdrives of your spool, thats what I did and I have not had any issues with it!
hope that helps

check the rear pulley to make sure it's centered when assembling the rear diff. if it's off, then it will create a high and low spot causing the belt to tighten and loosen with each revolution.
