Current thinking is that it will be released mid to late March although nothing official has been announced as of yet.

Just to make sure, all the suspension components are the same from the current cars? So the hub carriers and the knuckles are the same, correct?

Default multi dif

I just wanted to check and see if anyone other then me is upset that the multi-dif will not be included in the US car. I like that I will have 2 difs unlike the FK but I run a spool and this multidif with the spring steel outdrives sounds cool. I just dont want to spend $50+ on this dif only to use it as a spool, and I am sure the rotating mass is much higher on this dif as well. But darn it I want it. Mike

yeah I figure that would work, but I have this problem with hitting the boards, (working on it) and the outdrives on that spool just spread to darn easy. Plus I just like the look of the multi dif and would love to try it. On another note I have like 3 extra difs sitting in my box now from previous cars so I dont see needing another. But ither way I love how the car looks. Mike

According to the xray forum the multi diff from the T1fk will not work with the FK'05. So I wouldn't be too sure about the diffs being intercangable between the two cars....including the spool.

There was never a multi-diff for the FK. The diff and spool from FK will work on the FK05, you just need to put a 34 pulley on and turn it around, that's all.

Reason why one-way from an FK will not with on FK05, and the FK05 multidiff will not work on FK is because now your one-way is backwards, the tires will now be free spinning backwards.

Should I even get an T1FK05 if I only plan on running on road and not carpet?
Even though Xray so called "dominated" at the birds,
every race I see raced on asphalt there is only 3 consistant names in the A-Main: HPI, Tamiya and AE.
I know the car will be great, but is it even worth getting if primarily racing asphalt?

That was only because of the volume of Xrays out here was not that high. In fact I would guess that last summer there were only three drivers running xray on the asphault.

Everyone got there Xrays close to or after the start of carpet.

I would guess that this outdoor season there will be close to 15 ppl running xrays consistently week in week out.

Also, why no carpet? Gilroy is only 25 miles from the Jo.

Didn't answer much.
Just a lot of bickering back and forth about if it would work iindoors on carpet.
And of course all the Xray people are saying is: "This car is great, buy it" they never answer the question of what it is better suited for?
How about you guys?
Is this thing worth getting if my Pro4 kicks ass on asphalt with rubber tires? Could the 05 compete, or should I stick with my HPI?
